Take on Being a Circuit Court Judge

Below are links, by excellent Circuit Court Judges, the Honorable Brett W. Wilson and Daniel M. Long, servings the good people of Dorchester and Somerset Counties, with overviews of the responsibilities handled by Maryland's Circuit Courts.

I think these may be instructive as to what types of cases a Circuit Court Judge should have experience with. Jury trials, serious criminal, complex/major civil, and family law matters are concerns for every citizen.

  1. This Democrat will be voting for Caldwell. I'm sure Jimmy Sarbanes is a good guy, but experience is vastly more important than politics for this sort of position. MJ will be an excellent Circuit Court judge.

  3. Experience matters. Training someone to JUDGE things they have no experience with is just silly. We wouldn't put up with that sort of thing in most of our lives, why would we in this critical position? This is just too important.

  4. Not only does Jimmy not have the experience to be a judge he doesn't pay his bills and judgments. He also has foreclosures that some of his buddies in the court system ignored and now he doesn't have to pay any of his bills. His wife is just as bad.

Notice I didn't say Judge Jimmy? He doesn't deserve the respect to be called a Judge.

  7. My younger son and his wife are so fed up with this county and the state of Maryland they are actively seeking to move to DELAWARE as soon as possible. GOD BLESS them and I wish them well. It will be the best move they could ever do. Joe Albero is correct. It was your election to lose and it is showing every week. This is one screwed up State and County.

  8. Only problem I have with Caldwell is his attitude. Seems his courtroom demeanor could use some work. Maybe it isn't just about experience.

  9. Why do I always see Daddy Tony campaigning for Judge wannabe Spyros? Daddy and Uncle Paul have always bailed them out of everything. Got judges to kick their judgment cases out of court and not having to pay a red cent of what they owe. Spyros is to lazy to work at being elected they are trying to trick the public into "Retaining Judge Jimmy." No it's an elections so please do the right thing and vote for MJ Caldwell, the most deserving to be judge of Circuit Court in Wicomico County.
