The Request Is Already In To Reconsider Yet Another County Council Vote

In what has proven to be an extremely dysfunctional County Council, a written request was sent to the County Council yesterday to reconsider their vote on the Election Board facility.

Now, considering the vote was 6 to 1 NO, let's sit back and see what the Council elects to do. Stevie Prettyman has become the master of bringing such rejected votes back to the table. This time she might want to reconsider. She brought back the Bennett Middle School rejected vote and recently the rejected pay raise vote.

My guess is, IF she pulls another fast one on yet another vote, Citizens might just run her out of the Eastern Shore well before she plans on heading off into the sunset in sunny Florida.

I am so fed up with Wiomico County, come on raise, taxes, and going back on decisions. I would gladly take Prettymans place so she can go to Florida now and save us a little grief..in fact I will help her pack and perhaps Pollitt will go with her!

  2. Are you saying that Prettyman is the one who requested this? That's what you imply, but I'd like to know the facts. Which council member wants this reconsidered?

  3. I never said Prettyman brought this up. One of the managers of Becker-Morgan put in the request. Now, let's see IF someone from the Council reconsiders and does in fact bring it back to the table.

  4. so if becker morgan wants it brought back up maybe someone ought to take a look at what's in it for them?
Sounds like more of the usual bullsh!t that goes on in this county!

  8. Matt Hollaway didn't abstain he voted YES. How crazy was he when it was a 6/1 vote?

  9. 11:46am Let's pay attention here. It is NOT the City Council, but the County Council.

  10. 1:13 -- That's why B-M thinks they can control it, just like they have in the City for years.

  11. We can heal Bill Turner and the Adkins clan wailing all the way down here in Bivalve!

  12. If Matt Holloway doe not abstain he's dead on arrival in the primary election this June. Boda and Cannon will clean his clock.

  13. Can't believe that Mr. Turner is on the County's zoning board. His firm is a big landowner and developer.

  14. Watching Prettyman's phony response during Council comments was hilarious. She is so transparent. Too many citizens spoke up and she had no b#lls to stand up to them, so she tried to act "thoughtful" about the issue. However, when red-faced Wayne got to her, I'm sure she agreed to "reconsider" her vote. After all, she is a shill for all of them now. This is another example of the County trying to ram something down our throats. Wayne thinks he is always the smartest one in the room when in reality he is just another bully. So sick of all of them. Bob Culver is looking better all the time - he can't be any worse than the clown show we have now.

  15. Rolled on the floor when that contractor and former marine pointed out that Strausberg was fidgeting whenever anyone questioned or objected to the lease.

  16. Joe --

The vote was not 6-1 because John Hall was afraid to do what he really wanted: vote for the lease deal with Adkins. He's a babbling buffoon.

  17. It ain't happening.

  18. No one has explained WHY they are allowed to bring this up for another vote...

  19. I truly believe Matt Holloway is going to lose the upcoming election even though he is an incumbent. He should have known better than to vote for the proposal especially since he has an interest in doing business with Bill Turner/Adkins. He should have recused himself from voting. He could be held before an ethics tribunal.

  20. Bob, you're really overusing the word "buffoon." Check the thesaurus for some synonyms, just to change things up.

  21. First it was the fruitland school flip flop..then pay raises for sherrif and co.flip flop ...now this?..guess what..a house is up for sale in fruitland

  22. This is dead. No way this comes back up.

The only reason the Sheriffs raises came back up is because they had the votes when it was brought back up..all 7 members were there this time

  23. 11:46 AM this has nothing to do with the City Council. Now pay attention!!
