The Person You Are Trying To Reach Is Not Available, Blah, Blah, Blah!

For the life of me I just can't understand how after 20 plus years now we all have to listen to a recorded message telling us the person we're trying to reach is not available. At the tone please leave a message and if you'd like to leave a call back number, blah, blah, blah.

OK Verizon, I THINK WE GET IT! Drop the voice recording and let us get back to the business at hand. Are you with me Folks?

  2. Oh, I forgot to mention, Ting requires no contract. My daughter turned me on to them, and they are truly the cheapest!

  3. I couldn't agree more. I think when we hear the tone we can handle leaving a message without instructions. Its verizon's way of getting that many more minutes out of each and every cell phone.

  4. It's always better to record your own voice mail greeting. That way your caller knows that they are calling the correct person. You don't have to put your name on it, but at least the phone number so they will know if they dialed wrong & wont' leave a message at the wrong number. If it's someone you know, they should also recognize your voice.

  6. How many businesses do you call and get a "real" person" - hate it all you want, it ain't going to change - this method is money saving and using a type of answering service saves time and expense for an office or headquarters.

  7. The recording is a result of customers not setting up their voice mail. I am a Verizon Wireless Cellular Sales manager in 4 of our local stores. If anyone would like help setting this up please feel free to visit our location on the south side of Salisbury at the corner of Pine Bluff and Route 13 or our newest location in West Ocean City across from Watermans. If you are closer to Cambridge or Easton we have our Cambridge store located just before the bridge headed West or our Easton location which is located just past the Dover St light. Any one of our reps in the store will be more than happy to assist you with any concerns you have about the recording. These stores are a great alternative to the constantly busy store at the North end of Salisbury. Low wait times and great customer service! We look forward to seeing you! Mention this comment and receive 25% off of a blue tooth of your choosing. Just ask for John.

  10. I just switched from Verizon because I couldn't keep my unlimited data when I got my new phone. My att friends got to keep theirs. Wish I had switched sooner, plus the customer service I got at the att in Easton was awesome!
