  1. Those dam chicken farmers sure don't love the bay, they pollute it and don't care, to them it is all about the money! Prostituting themselves for Purdue, Tyson, Mt.Aire, and the almighty dollar!

  2. And just what is my $5 used for? To buy more ads urging more donations? To pay the salaries of people who run these stupid organizations? Just what projects has Chesapeake Bay Trust funded? How much actual water have they cleaned? Huh? Anybody?

  3. lets see I already have bay tags, I pay the tax for having a septic tank which does not empty into the bay unlike Baltimore or Salisbury's sewers do. How much more do you want me to give and why hasn't the bay gotten any cleaner over the last 30 years? Me thinks the money is just going into someone's pocket. How do I get a gig like that?

  4. Exactly, 12:11a! In the 25 years I've been on the Shore, I have yet to read one article on what they do or what projects they have accomplished. Not one. All I hear is babbling like 1057 is doing, but when they bring 3 years of "proof" to court against a chicken farmer, they are laughed out of the room because the farmer was doing everything according to Hoyle.

Screw them, they do nothing for the bay. They collect and share money, period.

  5. I don't think so, you can blame Ireton, since I am already going to be forced to donate $20

  6. Non-profit means they make money, they don't pay taxes, and the politics are more important than the cause, ever, ever.

If the nfl can be a non-profit, that they are!!! Total crap,

  7. 10:57, you are either an Internet Troll or just plain ignorant, of which both are mutually inclusive. Just search "Chesapeake Bay Watershed". From there draw your own conclusion as to where most of the nutrient load comes from.
It sure is not from the Eastern Shore.
Just remember your words the next time you enjoy your fried chicken.

  8. lmao at 10:57 While I am not a fan of the many chicken farms on Delmarva, I have to wonder why the major dead zones in the bay are on the western shore around Baltimore and washington, sounds like a typical lib talking.

  9. Donate the money to upgrade your town and city sewer plants, their the biggest polluters of the bay.
