Hearing Today On Setting Up Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers

For the second time this week, a legislative committee in Annapolis is reviewing bills dealing with marijuana.

Unlike Tuesday's hearing in the Senate which dealt with legalizing marijuana for recreational use, or decriminalizing marijuana, today's hearing in the House Health and Government Operations Hearing deals with a bill to expand medical marijuana, which was legalized last year.

Baltimore City Delegate Cheryl Glenn's bill would allow the state to license up to 20 marijuana treatment centers, where patients with a prescription could obtain a 60 day supply of marijuana to be used for treatment of cancer, glaucoma and other illnesses.

  1. As in other states this will be a back door approach to legalizing it. Got a headache? 1 OZ. for you.

  4. 10:25 Then let them drink a 5th of liquor to boot! Your statement is kind of silly if your honest about it. Just say you don't think pot should be legal. I could respect that.

Expand it!? Nobody has it legally, even though the law is a year old.

  6. Ozone Therapy doesn't actually cure anything either, but it acts as a catalyst for treatments that do have remedial properties.Pot doesn't even do that.It just makes illness easier to cope with.
