New Revelation Explains Why No Benghazi Air Support?

JERUSALEM – Does a new claim from an attorney representing Benghazi whistleblowers explain why air support was never sent to the doomed Benghazi facility the night of the Sept. 11, 2012 attack?

The claim may also help to explain why it took hours for an American-provided C-130 cargo plane to take off from Tripoli for the short flight to Benghazi to help evacuate survivors.

Joseph diGenova, a former U.S. Attorney who represents Benghazi whistleblowers, stated 400 surface-to-air missiles were “taken from Libya” during the attacks and that the U.S. fears the missiles can be used to down aircraft.

FEDERAL APPEALS COURT: OBAMA ADMINISTRATION IS VIOLATING FEDERAL LAW ‘WITHOUT ANY LEGAL BASIS’

The Obama administration has been continuously violating federal law by delaying a law enacted by Congress “without any legal basis,” a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday. The decision refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s move to delay a proposed nuclear waste dump in Nevada.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia voted 2-1 in favor of ordering the commission to complete the licensing process and approve or reject the Energy Department’s application for a never-completed waste storage site at Nevada’s Yucca Mountain.

In a sharply worded opinion, the court said the nuclear agency was “simply flouting the law” when it allowed the Obama administration to continue plans to close the proposed waste site 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas. The action goes against a federal law designating Yucca Mountain as the nation’s nuclear waste repository.

What Global Warming? 2012 Data Confirms Earth In Cooling Trend

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently released its “State of the Climate in 2012” report, which states that “worldwide, 2012 was among the 10 warmest years on record.”

But the report “fails to mention [2012] was one of the coolest of the decade, and thus confirms the cooling trend,” according to an analysis by climate blogger Pierre Gosselin.

“To no one’s surprise, the report gives the reader the impression that warming is galloping ahead out of control,” writes Gosselin. “But their data shows just the opposite.”-

Treasury Ran $98 Billion Deficit in July--But Debt Stayed Exactly $16,699,396,000,000

The Treasury Department's Financial Management Service, which publishes both the official Daily Treasury Statement and the official Monthly Treasury Statement, is reporting that in July the federal government ran a deficit of $98 billion but that the federal government's debt remained exactly $16,699,396,000,000 for the entire month.

The Financial Management Service said that the deficit went up $98 billion ($97,594,000,000) in the Monthly Treasury Statment for July, which it released on Monday.

The service said that the debt stayed at exactly $16,699,396,000,000 in its Daily Treasury Statements, which are published every business day. The Daily Treasury Statements show the daily value of the federal government debt that is subject to a legal limit set by Congress.

FAMOUS ACTOR REVEALS REAL NAME, GIVES INCREDIBLY INSIGHTFUL SPEECH ABOUT ‘HARD WORK’ AND GENEROSITY…AT TEEN CHOICE AWARDS

It’s fairly safe to say that viewers don’t tune in to the Teen Choice Awards in hopes of hearing incredibly insightful advice about the importance hard work, perseverance and dreaming big — but that’s exactly what they got from Ashton Kutcher this year.

After receiving the “Ultimate Choice Award” at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night, Kutcher began by revealing that his real first name is actually “Chris.” He then launched on a surprising diatribe about the three most important things he learned before he was known as Ashton.

“I believe that opportunity looks a lot like hard work,” Kutcher began with his first point. “When I was 13, I had my first job with my dad carrying shingles up to the roof, and then I got a job washing dishes at a restaurant, and then I got a job in a grocery store deli, and then I got a job at a factory sweeping Cheerio dust off the ground.”

McAuliffe Took EB-5 Immigration Law Expert To 2010 White House Meeting

Terry McAuliffe, former chairman of GreenTech Automotive, broughtStephen Yale-Loehr, one of the country's leading legal experts on the EB-5 foreign national investment and immigration program, to a meeting with a senior Obama administration official at the White House in October 2010. The meeting came just months after a DHS official blocked the company's efforts to secure visas for foreign investors.

The McAuliffe campaign confirmed to Richmond television station NBC12 on Thursday that McAuliffe attended the White House meeting with Obama aide Greg Nelson, now the White House chief of staff for the National Economic Council, along with GreenTech Automotive executive Gary Yi Tang, Northwestern University economist Michael Evans, and Yale-Loehr, an adjunct professor at Cornell Law School and co-author of a widely used law school textbook on immigration law.

Man Honored For Being First Across Bay Bridge

EASTON — When Albert Mills was the first person to drive across the William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial (Chesapeake Bay) Bridge, on July 30, 1952, he said he didn’t think anything of it at the time.

But recently, Mills received three citations for being the first person across — one from Sen. Richard Colburn, R-37-Mid-Shore, one from Gov. Martin O’Malley and one from Del. Jeannie Haddaway, R-37B-Talbot.

It all transpired after author and speaker John Reisinger hosted a seminar about the bridge at Easton Club East, where Mills has lived since 2003.

Unemployed Engineer Resolves 'Not Going To Be' Victim

Ted Randolph does not see himself as a victim of anything, but he has seen life from both sides of the window at On Our Own, a place for homeless people to spend the day.

On a break from his part-time job at On Our Own, he sat at an old patio table in the backyard invisible from bustling North Market Street. He had just finished sealing a door and was figuring out what to do to fix the brick walkway that is sinking into the yard.

Until two years ago, he had full-time work as a stationary engineer — doing plumbing, electrical and carpentry work for various employers. At 56, he wonders if they just found him too old and too experienced or too expensive to keep around, but they let him go, he said.

Hasan: 'I Would Still Be A Martyr' If Executed

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) -- The Army psychiatrist on trial for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood told mental health experts shortly after the attack that he "would still be a martyr" if convicted and executed by the government, according to newly released documents.

The remarks by Maj. Nidal Hasan were published Tuesday by the New York Times, as military lawyers ordered to help Hasan insist that he wants jurors to sentence him to death. Hasan is representing himself during the trial, which continued Tuesday at the Texas military base with FBI agents testifying about a gruesome, bullet-riddled crime scene.

Hasan told a panel of mental health experts that he wished he had been killed in the attack because it would have meant God had chosen him for martyrdom, according to documents given to the newspaper by Hasan's former lead attorney, John Galligan.

111 Years Ago, An Archaeologist Realized He Had Discovered The World's Oldest Known Computer

When it comes to celebrating the history of computers, it’s important to mark all binary anniversaries. In this spirit, we celebrate the 111th anniversary of the discovery of the oldest known computer.

While some people call the Atanasoff-Berry computer the first, and some people point back further to Charles Babbage’s analytical engine, those who know give the crown to the Antikythera Mechanism, which scholars now think was built around 87 B.C.E.

The Antikythera Mechanism was taken out of a sunken ship discovered in 1900 just off the tiny island of Antikythera, just north of Crete in the Mediterranean. After sitting in storage at Greece’s National Museum among other unidentified lumps of bronze, the archeologist Valerios Stais discovered it was, in fact, a mechanical object, on May 17, 1902.

Asylum Crisis as Mexican Nationals Overwhelm System

According to a report from Eric Holder's Department of Justice, nearly 1/3 of the immigrants making asylum claims last year who were released on bond or their own recognizance never even bothered to appear in immigration court.

The Executive Office for Immigration Review's Statisical Yearbook for 2012 says that number is up sharply, with 66% more no-shows than in 2008.

The asylum system appears to be a magnet for abuse by those who make a claim to get into the country and then vanish. As Breitbart News reported, last week one border crossing near San Diego saw a sudden flood of asylum requests that resulted in the checkpoint being shut down.

NSA: THE DECISION PROBLEM

Shortly after noon, local time, on 19 August 1960, over the North Pacific Ocean near Hawaii, a metal capsule about the size and shape of a large kitchen sink fell out of the sky from low earth orbit and drifted by parachute toward the earth. It was snagged in mid-air, on the third pass, by a C-119 "flying boxcar" transport aircraft from Hickam Air Force base in Honolulu, and then transferred to Moffett Field Naval Air Station, in Mountain View, California—where Google's fleet of private jets now sit parked. Inside the capsule was 3000 feet of 70mm Kodak film, recording seven orbital passes over 1,650,000 square miles of Soviet territory that was closed to all overflights at the time.

This spectacular intelligence coup was preceded by 13 failed attempts. Secrecy all too often conceals waste and failure within government programs; in this case, secrecy was essential to success. Any reasonable politician, facing the taxpayers, would have canceled the Corona orbital reconnaissance program after the eleventh or twelfth unsuccessful launch.

New Hampshire City Requests A Tank To Deal with “Domestic Terrorist” Groups Like Occupy Wall Street And Libertarians

The State of New Hampshire’s experience with terrorism slants primarily towards the domestic type. We are fortunate that our State has not been victimized from a mass casualty event from an international terrorism strike however on the domestic front, the threat is real and here. Groups such as the Sovereign Citizens, Free Staters and Occupy New Hampshire are active and present daily challenges.

It appears there is just a little too much freedom happening in the “live free or die” state of New Hampshire for the local authorities’ comfort level. A copy of Concord, New Hampshire’s application for a BearCat G3 armored vehicle was received by the New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union (NHCLU), and provides shocking insight into the mindset of city officials.

Ninety-six percent of new cars already have them -- measuring such inputs as speed, lateral acceleration, pedal effort, seat belt use, wheel spin, steering wheel turn and direction.

NBC/Politico Cover Up Hillary's Gaffe, Voter ID Extremism

The media push to protect and promote Hillary Clinton is well underway. The idea here is not just to ensure that she faces no damaging primary opposition, but that she steamrolls any Republican who dares try to stop her. Our media is manufacturing a coronation, not a campaign. In order to do this, the media is already ignoring Clinton's gaffes and her extremism on the issue of voter ID.

Monday night, during a Civil Rights speech that focused on criticizing the very same voter ID laws 83% of Americans approve of (including 73% of Democrats) the former Secretary of State botched the name of Medger Evers, referring to the civil rights icon as "Medgar Evans."

Obama-Holder DOJ Threatens To Sue NC Over New Voter ID Law

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory (R) just signed a law to safeguard voting rights in the Tar Heel State, and the Obama administration is threatening to sue (again).

North Carolina’s new law requires a person attempting to vote to show a (1) North Carolina driver’s license, (2) U.S. passport, or (3) military ID at the polls to cast their ballot. It also ends same-day voter registration and shortens the period for early voting from 17 days to 10 days.

The law is supported by over 70% of North Carolinians. It is a law that recognizes that everyone has the right not to have their vote canceled by a fraudulent vote, and so states should take measures to safeguard the integrity of the ballot box.

Washington & Wall Street: Obama Does Nothing Prosecuting Subprime Perpetrators

Last week, the Obama Administration continued to lay down a smoke screen to hide its negligence when it comes to investigating the criminal acts which caused the subprime crisis. The Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice announced civil lawsuits against Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase, but neither of these civil cases is really worthy of mention.

William Black, author of “The Best Way to Rob a Bank Is to Own One” and an associate professor of economics and law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, wrote a scathing assessment of what he calls the DOJ’s “pathetic” lawsuit on Alternet:

The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) latest civil suit against Bank of America (B of A) is an embarrassment of tragic proportions on multiple dimensions. I'm "only" going to explore seven of its epic fails here. There are many more. The two most obvious fails (except to most of the media, which failed to mention either) are that the DOJ has once again refused to prosecute either the elite bankers or bank that committed what the DOJ describes as massive frauds and that the DOJ has refused to bring even a civil suit against the senior officers of the banks despite filing a complaint that alleges facts showing that those officers committed multiple felonies that made them wealthy by causing massive harm to others. Those two fails should have been the lead in every article about the civil suit.

Bono: “Capitalism Takes More People Out Of Poverty Than Aid”

Our Research Fellow George Ayittey met the Irish rock star Bono in July 2007 during a TED conference.Professor Ayittey was speaking and in knowing that Bono would be in the audience, he explains that “I made a special effort to rip into the foreign aid establishment.... Later, Bono said he liked my speech but did not agree with me that foreign aid is not effective in ending poverty. So I gave him a copy of my book, Africa Unchained: The Blueprint for Development.”

Bono (nee Paul David Hewson) is the lead singer in the rock group U2, one of the most successful rock groups in history. Bono also became a major proponent of greatly expanded U.S. foreign aid and other government programs (including debt cancellation) to alleviate the dire plight in the world of HIV/AIDS, malaria, abject poverty, and other issues.

Is Government Just Spying Like A Giant Peeping Tom … Or Is It Actively USING That Information In Mischievous Ways?

You know that the NSA and other government agencies are spying on all Americans.

But is the government just passively spying on us like some giant peeping Tom? Or doing something with that information?
Favoring “Friends”

U.S. intelligence agencies have given information gained through spying to a handful of giant corporations for many years. This trend is accelerating.
Harassing “Enemies”

While the NSA is the best-known spy agency at the moment, the IRS, FBI, and many other agencies also conduct their own mass spying on Americans.

Reuters recently broke the story that information gained through spying on Americans is funneled through a special unit within the Drug Enforcement Agency, and then distributed to federal, state and local agencies nationwide.

The agencies are instructed to “launder” the information by pretending that they got it from normal gumshoe investigations, and not spying.

Reuters notes that laundered information gained through spying is being used to prosecute petty crimes, including taxes and drugs … and neither the defense attorneys or even the judges are being told the real source of the information

Don’t Eat These, Ever

I occasionally comment on various “worst food lists” that appear in magazines and on websites. There is no shortage of bad foods to talk about these days, and we never seem to run out of lists.

But what about the foods Americans don’t often THINK about when inventorying their personal food choices—even though they’re eating them every day, one little dollop after another? I’m referring to condiments.

Condiments are usually given a free ride because, well, it’s only a spoonful. They’re typically overlooked, or brushed off as “harmless,” or eaten in such small quantities that their effects seem negligible.

Condiments can make bland foods taste better and good foods taste great. But they can also turn an otherwise nutritious meal into a metabolic nightmare, one tablespoon at a time.

Amy’s Army Pedals Toward A World Free Of MS At Bike MS: Bike To Bordeaux

On September 28 cyclists will enjoy well-supported routes, complimentary lunch and a finish line wine sampling to help create a world free of MS

Mt. Airy, MD-
. In 2010, Amy Gladfelter was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) -a chronic, disabling neurological disorder- at age 20. MS usually strikes in the prime of life, typically between 20 and 40 years old, affects significantly more women than men, and is the number one disabling neurological disease of young adults.

Last year, after seeing a brochure in a local coffee shop, Gladfelter decided to participate in Bike MS: Bike Bordeaux, challenging notions about what a multiple sclerosis diagnosis means.

“I feel this is important to come together as a community to support MS, as well as prove those with MS can be just as active as everyone else. With the medications I have now, I am optimistic about my future,” says Gladfelter.

This year Gladfelter will be riding with her team of friends and family, Amy’s Army, at Bike MS: Bike to Bordeaux at Linganore Winecellars on Saturday, September 28. Cyclists can choose to ride 16, 38 or 65 (all routes start/finish at Linganore Winecellars) miles on well-supported routes through the hilly countryside of Carroll and Frederick Counties. A complimentary lunch and wine sampling will be provided at the finish line.

Jeannie Haddaway On Real Cost Of Maryland's Health Exchange

Maryland Lt. Governor candidate Jeannie Haddaway released the following statement regarding costs required to implement Maryland's health exchange. These costs were disclosed in Maryland Reporter August 11.

"Under the O'Malley-Brown Administration, implementing the new health care law is more about politics, marketing and spin than improving people's lives. The Administration wants everyone to believe that somehow Obamacare is free, as if grants magically appear that nobody has to pay for. They even said no state funds would be used to launch the exchange, which we later learned was not true.

"If the new health care exchange is so great, then it should not take $24 million in marketing and technical assistance for people to use it. And make no mistake, this so-called 'outreach' is targeted towards their political base. It's also strange that the O'Malley - Brown Administration takes credit for creating 300 marketing temp jobs funded by our own tax dollars. Government-run health care is bringing us an 83% healthcare tax. That won't be in the glossy brochures, because it's a fact."

Thank You

Hello Joe,

This email comes with sincerest gratitude and appreciation for being the ONLY news/media site to publish the news about Troy Durham's re-certification that he was forced to re-earn despite court orders.

I believe it is important for folks to know that the outcome of Deputy Troy Durham's continuing battle for justice will ultimately set a precedence for positive changes and make history; not only in Somerset County and Eastern Shore MD, but statewide as well. His case(s) may not seem "newsworthy" to the rest of the media now, but the citizens and taxpayers will -- and should -- want to know more when they find out who all is behind these injustices and how many millions of dollars of tax money is being used to support and represent them.

The next 'round' approaches as Somerset County Commissioners, County Administrator, County Treasurer, County Attorney, and others will face a Judge later this month to explain why Troy Durham has still not received ANY of his back pay or benefits despite court orders over one year ago.

Troy Durham's example of persistence, patience and professionalism throughout his continuing battle for justice is to be admired and respected.
