Somerset County Sheriff's Office Press Release 8-23-13

Kenneth Paul Springer Sr. of Westover, criminal summons served 8-17-13 regarding theft less than $1,000. Springer was released on signature pending court actions.

Joseph E. Jones of Delmar Delaware, arrested 8-17-13 on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Jones was held on a $500.00 bond.

Eric John West of Princess Anne, and Dontae Lamont Holden of Marion, arrested 8-17-13. West was charged with possession of cds, not marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Holden was charged with obstructing and hindering police, and failing to obey a lawful order. The arrests stemmed from a patrol check conducted by deputies in the Pine Knoll Housing Development in Princess Anne. Deputies approached a minivan that was occupied several times. As deputies talked to the occupants, West threw a suspected prescription pill bottle containing prescription narcotics, Holden ran from deputies ensuing a foot chase. Holden was later apprehended and charged on criminal citations, and later released. West was charged and later released on an unsecured bond.

Walter Lenny Floyd of Salisbury, arrested 8-18-13 for DWI, driving impaired by alcohol, and negligent driving. Floyd was later released on citations pending court actions. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop conducted by deputies in the area of Ocean Highway, Princess Anne.

Porsha Monique Dixon of Crisfield, arrested 8-19-13 on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Dixon was held on a $250.00 bond.

Derick Wayne Merrill of Westover, arrested 8-19-13 on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Merrill was released after posting bond.

Evonne Elizabeth Fontaine of Salisbury, arrested 8-19-13 on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Fontaine was held on a $500.00 bond.

Scott Alan Adkins Jr. of Delmar Delaware, arrested 8-21-13 on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Adkins was held on a $500.00 bond.

Daquon Tymar Mills of Snow Hill, arrested 8-21-13 on a warrant for violation of probation. Mills was later held without bond.
