Salisbury News Was Hacked Today

If your wondering WHY so many comments hadn't gone up for a few hours today, someone hacked my account. Actually, several of them.

It seems obvious that we've struck some nerves in Salisbury and there have been multiple threats saying Salisbury News will be going "black" in the near future.

That being said, it's doubtful these people are going to stop any time soon. Know that IF we're hacked again and we go off line, save sbynews.com on your computer. You can always access this Blog by just typing in sbynews.com instead of sbynews.blogspot.com. If anything happens again we will have a redirect from sbynews.com to whatever new Site we create in the mean time.

We must be some pretty important people to get hacked that bad. Sorry about the delays Folks.

  1. Are you kidding JOE, don't mention it... We know what it is like to be messed with when you ruffle feathers of the dumbass so called elite...

I say we write some software to trace said hackers and then we can get the swat to run up in their and grab them... Maybe, just maybe these dumbasses will have a gun or something that looks like a gun and get taken out of this world and then it will be one less dumb ass in the world trying to cause problems...

Harsh? maybe, but how else are we going to get rid of these clowns... You certainly can't vote them out...

  5. Must have stuck a nerve big time and someone must have a guilty conscience. If all what's been said on here isn't true then whomever it concerns would address it with a rebuttal but instead they choose to hack. Any way to find out who the hacker is?

  6. Stupid DAY / College crowd, I guarantee it.

  7. If anyone can get to the hacker it is Mr. A.. I hope it is the mayor, then maybe we can get rid of him and his friends. Then maybe we can get who we voted for. Ok, come after me for my comment.map

  8. Joe- Voted for you, and after the election you posted my comment saying to you, roughly, that the election results maybe weren't that bad- that you can do for S-bury what you've always done and you'll have PLENTY of ammo!

Hacking is a pathetic attempt to silence you- you should take it as the utmost compliment-the good old boy network has no viable response, at least not right away, so they try to silence you.

I'm a big fan of your local stuff, and know that you're doing a great service to the community- please keep on our city lawmakers at all costs- you and GR are the only ones left, and he's sporadic at best.

Thanks for what you do, and as an aside, funny how good old boy and government office building are the same acronym...

  9. Joe, when they hack your account(s) can they get our names? No big deal, except those of us threatened at work. Please respond.

  10. Now you see why people will not go to city council meetings and express their opinions. There are plenty of people in this town that don't like what is going on but these idiots will stop at nothing to get back. There is absolutely no freedom of speech in this town.

  11. Chuck Cook is involved.

  12. Seems you are not the only one locally.
    It's the Russians.

  13. I can actually FEEL the resistance to positive change.I used to just strongly suspect it when nothing ever got done, but now I feel it.It's as if someone or multiple someones' are monitoring everything in all aspects of the media and word on the street.I wonder how far they'll actually go to keep things exactly as they are. That type of control is counter productive to growth.

  15. If you account were hacked I would recommend a trickier pass word one that can't be typed within an hour or so. My choose for a password was a simple thing to remember it was pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis and this word can be spelt with a koniosis as well so this is trickier to access. If this isn't something you don't like to do then change your password daily since hacking a account takes hours to days and with passwords changing you should be able to stale them for a indefinite number as long as it takes longer than a day.

  16. Keep up the good work Joe. This attack means you are making a difference. I have been spreading the word to everyone I come in contact with on the alternative to the local liberal news media that promotes anything and anybody liberal and attacks anybody with morals or conservative values. Stopping this town's (and the the country) descent into hell is going to take people with guts.

  17. "Joe, when they hack your account(s) can they get our names? No big deal, except those of us threatened at work. Please respond.

No-at the very least they could get IP's off the sitemeter which are pretty much useless short of giving a broad location of who visits the site how long they visit. Getting names would be a huge long process including subpoenaing not only Google (host of this blog) and then also individual internet service providers.
I'm thinking if they hacked Sby News Sitemeter is a different thing so just hacking into the blog wouldn't give anyone access to site meter anyway.
How was it hacked? Sounds like the web address was redirected to another site?

  18. Why should Mr. A. bear the cost to fight this. I feel that there should be a fund set up to cover this. He has tried to do so much for us and has had no help. Salisbury, stop crying and stand for the one person that has tried to do nothing but help us. Mr. A., I am here and to show you I mean what I say my name is Millie Pekala. Call if I can help in any way. Any one else want to stand up? I bet not. So just keep hiding your eyes and hope someone does something that you won't do. Shame on you and me.

  19. Its Jimmy and Day, and his buddys at Ft. Meade. Remember what I said before Joe. Day has a big reason to be on that council, and its not eye candy for Jimmy!

  22. Millie there is nothing to fight or not cost incurred. MNr A changed his password and all is right again. PW change corrects the problem.
