2013

THE GUARDIAN--The National Security Agency is currently collecting the telephone records of millions of US customers of Verizon, one of America's largest telecoms providers, under a top secret court order issued in April.

The order, a copy of which has been obtained by the Guardian, requires Verizon on an "ongoing, daily basis" to give the NSA information on all telephone calls in its systems, both within the US and between the US and other countries.

The document shows for the first time that under the Obama administration the communication records of millions of US citizens are being collected indiscriminately and in bulk – regardless of whether they are suspected of any wrongdoing.

  1. I know you right wing nuts hate to admit these things, but good old George W. Bush created the model for this. So you can hate Obama for doing it too, but blame yourselves (and your former president) for getting this kind of stuff started.

  2. 1:15 your so stupid you believe that?
GW started a small program that targeted overseas connections.
Obama has morphed that into his full on Communist surveillance of every American.
Like most programs throughout the Government he has taken them and expanded them exponentially to advance his Marxist agenda.
If you don't see that, you never will. (until it's too late)

  3. 1:15....better go back a bit further. Before Obama, Bill Clinton signed into the the most sweeping (at the time) infringements of privacy. Right wing nuts or delusional left wing freaks. It doesn't matter. They are ALL intent on tearing the Constitution into shreds. Try to focus.
