CPS Takes Baby After Parents Seek Second Medical Opinion

A Sacramento couple is without their 5 month old baby after Child Protective Services sent in the police to forcibly remove the child from their care.

A hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2013 on the incident which was triggered when Anna Nikolayev and her husband Alex took baby Sammy out of Sutter Memorial Hospital and sought a second opinion at Kaiser Permanente, a rival hospital, for Sammy’s flu-like symptoms.

Anna and Alex were concerned about the quality of care baby Sammy was receiving at Sutter where he was admitted nearly two weeks ago. At one point, Anna questioned the antibiotics Sammy was being given and was alarmed that the nurse administering the treatment didn’t know why the child was receiving them. Anna claims that a doctor later said that Sammy should not have been receiving the medication.

  1. Hope the heck this child doesn't have a needless operation! The parents must be crazy with worry over their child!

  2. This is definitely Liberal Hospital retribution (revenge) and cover-up as
well as causing the State to commit kidnapping.
The hospital wanted the child in their control to avoid testing for the improper medication and treatment it had received.
They painted the parents as abusers "evidenced" by their extreme position of removing the child from their facility without proper discharge when in fact the parents were removing the children from a truly life threatening institution. AND... I said AND, for police to be involved in the kidnapping without warrant or investigation is beyond criminal.

OBAMA BIG GOVERNMENT MENTALITY IS REALLY TAKING CONTROL.

  3. They thought they actually had the final say in what happens to them or their child. STRANGERS are now in control of their child. Keep buying guns.

  4. That is part of the problem with social services. They go in blind, build their case, and raid the children from responsible parents. Most of the time, the social workers are young and have little experience and try to apply textbook theory to real life conditions. Many of the workers and supervisors lack any common sense and rush into judgment without any meaningful, real investigation.
Social work is the only vocation left for those who wanted to go to college but couldn't major in real subjects, ie. math, science, language, technical to earn a degree and build a career.
Taxpayers could save a bundle by eliminating the entire department. Most social workers have their heads in the clouds and need to have a picture drawn for them in order to even function.

  6. It is their child, not a child of the state. If the child was being abused that's one thing, but when the parents are trying to find proper treatment for the child, that's different. Welcome to Obamacare.

  7. I hope these folks can sue the hospital, the CPS and all involved.

  8. This appears to be a complete post, but there must be more to this story. The level of drama suggests that the parents have issues beyond what we have been told.
