Anne Arundel Democrats Outspend Republicans In 2013 Legislative Lodging Expenses

When it comes to trading taxpayer dollars for hotel stays, Anne Arundel County Democrats in the General Assembly outspent Republicans 47-to-1 during the 2013 session.

Six of 10 county Democrats asked the state for lodging reimbursements totaling more than $47,000, with five claiming the maximum amount of $9,191, according to records obtained from the Department of Legislative Services through a Public Information Act request.

Meanwhile, three of 10 Anne Arundel Republicans asked for state reimbursements to cover a total of $1,000 in lodging expenses throughout the three-month session.

  2. It's the democrat mentality-They think they are entitled to everything, are great at spending money that isn't theirs and take advantage of money just because it's available.
