Biden: W.H. Readies 19 Executive Actions On Guns

The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Later this week, Obama will formally announce his proposals to reduce gun violence, which are expected to include renewal of the assault weapons ban, universal background checks and prohibition of high-capacity magazine clips. But Biden, who has been leading Obama’s task force on the response, spent two hours briefing a small group of sympathetic House Democrats on the road ahead in the latest White House outreach to invested groups.

  4. How appropriate Pres Obummer uses our most incompetent drunken uncle baffoon of a VP to start this country's 2nd civil war. How scary to think it could only get worse if something were to happen to our most glorious leader.

  6. This won't take long. His executive orders of tomorrow will probably be enough to impeach, if what he's done so far was not. I'm surprised he's still out there riding around.

  8. An open letter to my Senators and Congressman, Ben Cardin, Barbara Mikulski, and Andy Harris.
Our President has just announced through Joe Biden that he is planning on ramming through 19 or so “Executive Orders” in reflection of the Sandy Hook shootings. I want you all to know where I stand, and request you to stand with me. Believe me. I am as deeply shocked and saddened by this action of a madman.
In no way is the Second Amendment negotiable. It has nothing to do with hunting, and everything to do with the protection of out countrymen in the case of an oppressive government, whether it be that of the U.S., China, Japan, Iraq, or any other.
Any executive Order with gun bans, limiting sizes of magazines, or any other infringement should be reason enough to begin action of Impeachment.
I have suggested three things to reduce or eliminate these mass shootings, and find acceptable, listed below.
    1) The NRA has offered to train school teachers and staff, and basically anyone in such a venue in Concealed Carry for the protection of the children. Abolish Gun Free Zones everywhere and theater ushers can participate.
    2) Allow Concealed and open carry to anyone without a felony criminal record, so anyone everywhere will think twice before attempting such an action.
    3) High capacity magazines and AK47’s and AR15’s are necessary legal pieces of equipment if any nation decides to invade us. China may own us, but they will not move in if we have this in place. Remember Japan in WWII?
    4) Let’s all review “Anti” psychotic drugs. I know that when I have taken certain drugs, my ability to thing normally is impaired. I once bit my dentist while on Nitrous Oxide! He had to inform me of what I was doing before I could consciously prevent myself from doing it!
Bottom line is, the real reason we now have multiple deaths at shooting sites is that no one is allowed to shoot back! In the Old West, it was different. If somebody came into the room with a weapon and started shooting, the shooting was ended in a short time! This limits casualties. There will ALWAYS be folks who make bad decisions, let’s just make it possible to minimize the damage.

  9. Please, everyone check out the fact that in some cases, the parents shown regarding the CT shooting ARE ACTORS, not the parents of slain children, sent by our own gov't. to play on public outcry & to push gun legislation through!!

  11. Here's MY executive decision. I'm not registering ANYTHING. I am NOT "complying" with ANY of this crap. Come to my house for MY guns and I'm opening up on you with everything I got. And if they come to YOUR house, I'm showing up to help you do the same. If "we, the people" don't put the brakes on this dictatorial behavior and fearmongering right now, it's curtains for our republic. How about a million man ARMED march on D.C? with a warning to them first --- leave now and there won't be any trouble. Otherwise, well...the tree of liberty seems to be in desperate need of the blood of some tyrants....

  12. 2) Allow Concealed and open carry to anyone without a felony criminal record, so anyone everywhere will think twice before attempting such an action.

Even that RESTRICTION needs to be revisited.

There are a lot of non-violent felonies on the books that can bar someone from buying a firearm, for life!

I don't think that is right, do you?

A kid taking a car for a joyride can be a felon.

A less than honorable discharge from the military can bar someone from buying a firearm, for life!

    I don't think that's right, do you?

They punish you for acts you commit that are illegal. They send you to prison to pay 'your debt to society'.

A lifelong debt? Punished forever? Is that justice?

Someone makes a mistake and can never be trusted again?

Our own senators and congressmen/women break the very laws they create.

Yet they hold the highest positions in the country. How many have DUI's? How many have bounced checks? How many have evaded taxes?

Regardless, something that happened 20,30 or 40 years ago should not stop someone from defending themselves and their loved ones.

If there is no redemption, what is the incentive, indeed, what is the path to being crime free?
