Question Of The Day

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

  1. We have this called a "Feast". All finger foods/appetizers. Set up right next to the Christmas tree. This year I'm making it a seafood feast, stuffed clams, scallops, shrimp, and some other goodies.

  2. I will be very content at home with a real wood fire in the fireplace, a Delmar Pizza pizza and a six pack of Miller Lite! The children and grandkids will arrive Thursday for a few days so I don't have to behave until then! Merry Christmas to all.

  3. My Eastern European Catholic upbringing prohibited meat on Christmas Eve. Traditional Christmas Eve dinner was buckwheat stuffed cabbage, cheese or cabbage pierogis, cold salmon in a vinegar and onion marinade. We've still upheld this tradition but have Americanized it to include sometimes crabcakes and fried oysters.
My Italian husband's family always had Spagetti and Shrimp on Christmas Eve. This year we will be home by ourselves so I've upheld the meatless tradition and we are having Shrimp Pizza.
