College Says “Men Working” Sign is Sexist

An Ohio community college forced a construction crew to remove its “Men Working” sign after the sign was deemed sexist and non-inclusive by a college administrator.

The construction crew at Sinclair Community College in Dayton was forced to stop working until the sign had been removed.

A spokesman for the college told Fox News that they have a deep commitment to diversity and take it quite seriously.

“While it may not have been necessary to suggest work be stopped, we stand by our commitment to providing an environment that is inclusive and non-discriminatory,” director of public information Adam Murka told Fox News.

  2. Who gives a ship. Some people need to get a life. Our freedoms are being lost with our current Muslim President, and some dingbat is fussing about a men working sign. If there was a sign saying "Women Working", there would be no issue.

  5. Ok. So this is the way we are going? Under Obama there should be a sign saying, "Nobody Working".

  6. I graduated from Sinclair many years ago, and I'm ashamed of the place as it is now.
This isn't the first time in recent history that something this dumb was done there in the name of 'diversity'.
It's a disgrace. Stupidity gone to seed.

  7. How about a sign that says "Obama Administration - No One Working".

I wonder if that would offend anyone?

  8. To be honest, the "MEN WORKING" sign is not a standard highway sign. It shouldn't be used to begin with. It was years ago, but has been replaced with other signs, such as "Road Work" or a symbolic "Road Work" Sign. I guess the flagger symbol sign will now have to include breasts. Not sure if it will be considered racist, as all the flaggers on the flagger signs are black.

  11. Now, there's a job potential. Paint all those signs to read People working, but change it to people leaning on shovels & watching. :)
