    and when you lived.
    could be the glen miller band, tommy dorsey, buddy holley, elvis, the eagles and on and on.

    for my age, i go with pink floyd in my time.

    Beachboys
    Asleep At The Wheel
    Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys
    Chicago
    Derek & The Dominos
    Glenn Miller
    Alabama

    If we expand to include vocalists Joe would need more bandwidth to handle my list!

  11. Man, what a tough question, but I would have to go with Pink Floyd, and that being said, Earth Wind and Fire with that horn section and small symphony have to be added to the list of contenders....

    The 1998 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records recognized them with a listing under the heading, "most rock concerts performed" (182 concerts in 1998).[45] They played to an estimated total of 25 million people, more than any other band, with audiences of up to 80,000 attending a single show.

    They performed over 2300 concerts, in over 30 years until Jerry Garcia's death.

  23. Pink Floyd. The music transcends stereotypes, genres, and the passage of time. People of all walks of life, and differing generations, can connect and enjoy their timeless music. Hands down, Pink Floyd.
