  6. There is a way to turn this into a positive. I recently read on the wgmd.com website where a town was looking to purchase a fire boat (MUCH smaller and cheaper than Salisbury's jewel). The town with the boat got it for free via the same means. If they sold it for $5, they obviously concluded that they would realize $5 pure profit.

    Salisbury? Any common sense?

  7. Also remember that on the water, all those lights and sirens mean nothing. Rules of the road are very different on the water.

    How so?

Yes, we need firefighters and emt's.

But their attitudes and other mental states make them less than enjoyable people.

More like a joke of a group of people who are tolerated.

  12. Who the heck made THAT decision?
All that boat to recover a body?
The city has several 16 foot aluminum
boats that would work not only cheaper but better as they are
much more maneuverable and capable in shallow water.
And the Gladwell/Shockleys of the bunch are so proud of their equipment when all they are really exposing is their chest pounding machismo while ignorantly throwing taxpayers money down the toilet on overkill response and reaction waste. They don't even realize it.

(I bet you they'll tow that baby behind the new ladder truck in the Christmas parade)

  13. What I dont understand was, the body was beside a dock, lifted onto the dock. Why not have a ambulance take the body to the hospital which is almost right across the street? Where did the boat take the body? Just saying...

And a million dollar boat at that. Anyone with a good conscious has a right to be a miserable tax payer.
