Dispute Over Monkey Refuge Settled

Monkeys Can Stay; Neighbors Still Not Happy

BALTIMORE -- A compromise has been reached in a long-standing neighborhood dispute over a refuge for monkeys in Howard County.


The county Board of Appeals ruled that the nearly two dozen monkeys currently at Frisky's Wildlife Center in Woodstock can stay put; however, the refuge has to turn away any new monkeys brought in within the last seven days.
