Exxon Mobil Is The Most Profitable American Business By A Long Shot

This year's Fortune 500 list is out, and while Walmart's $421 billion in revenue may have beaten out Exxon Mobil's paltry $354 billion, the oil giant beat out Big W where it matters most, profits. 1. How can the gov't allow this? We should have free gas for the next 10 years since we have all paid way too much!

  2. How come Miller was not in SC for debates last night? Did you get an answer to your letter of April 12, 2011 as to why Mr Miller could not participate? I like Miller's platform and do not want to see him left out.

  3. 907-Why should we have free gas? Oil companies make about .07 of profit per gallon of oil. The gov't has debased it's currency, and since oil is only traded in USD, you've seen a huge spike at the price at the pump. And maybe you should examine prices around the world before crying about 4 dollar a gallon gas. In Europe, they've paid 9$ or higher for a gallon of gas for nearly a decade.

  4. Still falling for the poor "we only make 4 cents (or 7 cents, whatever) profit per gallon crap? After ALL their labor costs, drilling costs, shipping costs, production costs, advertising costs, and (never forget) bribing Congress costs, etc, they made 70 billion less in revenues than Wal-Mart, but DOUBLED Wal-Mart's profits? AND took hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies from the American taxpayer, too??? Of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich. Please put an end to the "only 4 cent per gallon profit" crap. A good accountant could probably get it down to 2 cents profit....
