Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On October 2, 2010 at approximately 3:30 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant obtained after the investigation of a residential burglary. Salisbury Detectives obtained the warrant following the investigation of a burglary that occurred on March 8, 2010 on Hemlock Street. The suspect was found in possession of electronic equipment taken from the residence that was recovered for return to its owner.
ARRESTED: William Jones Silva, 27 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 1000)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On October 2, 2010 at approximately 9:07 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Pemberton Manor Apartment Complex on Fairground Drive for the report of a subject in possession of CDS. Upon arrival the officers met with a security officer from the complex and with the suspect. The security officer advised that the suspect had driven into the complex and was found by the security officer to be in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana. The suspect was found to be in possession of six (6) small baggies of suspected marijuana and one (1) cigar, also containing suspected marijuana. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Salisbury Police Department. This seizure of suspected marijuana was found to be within 1000 feet of the Pemberton Elementary School.
ARRESTED: Casey Logan Harmon, 25 years of age

On October 3, 2010 at approximately 12:16 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the one hundred (100) block of Halsey Drive for the report of a fight. Upon arrival the officers met with the victim who advised that he had been assaulted by the below listed suspect during an argument. During the argument the suspect advised the victim that the suspect was going to set the victim’s residence on fire.
ARRESTED: James Anthony Sambataro, 20 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Threats of Arson
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On October 3, 2010 at approximately 1:37 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Brew River Restaurant on West Main Street for the report of a fight. Upon arrival the officers met with restaurant employees who advised that the below listed suspect’s # 1, 2 and 3 had been involved in a fight inside of the restaurant and refused to leave. The suspects were made to leave the establishment, then moved into the parking lot area and resumed the altercation. The three (3) suspects were then taken into custody. Below listed suspect # 4 was found in the parking lot watching the altercation and had been given an earlier trespass notice prohibiting him from the property.

ARRESTED #4: Wilber Lee Butler, III, 21 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Trespassing
Failure to obey a lawful order
Obstructing and hindering an investigation
DISPOSITION: All released to Central Booking

  1. Mr. Silva was released on personal recognizance on October 1 and rearrested on October 2? And he was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant from a March burglary? Somebody dropped the ball on this one. Just because he had a new address? Or was he wearing a hat?
