Troopers Arrest 3 For Burglary


On December 16, 2009 at 1127 hours Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police assisted by members of the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office responded to a residence on Stanton Avenue in Salisbury Wicomico County Maryland in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Troopers and Deputies could hear movement inside of the residence and according to the complainant, the subjects observed entering the residence did not live there and the vehicle they were driving was unfamiliar to the complainant and was not usually parked at the residence.

Troopers and Deputies formed a perimeter around the residence and ordered the occupants to come outside. After several commands to come out, three people emerged from the residence and were taken into custody. Through further investigation, it was revealed that all three subjects had entered the residence with the intent to steal personal items from the owner and destroy property. Troopers and Deputies cleared the residence and found no other suspects inside however several items in the residence had been damaged and destroyed. The following suspects have been charged with Burglary, MDOP, Trespassing and other miscellaneous charges.

All three are being held at WCDC pending a hearing with a District Court Commissioner:

Torrie K. Dupont, 18, of Fruitland
Joseph H. Greenhawk, Jr., 19, of Fruitland
Nikita E. Boothman, 19, of Fruiland

  1. It's bad enough these jerks break in someones house to steal things but seems they not only want to steal but destroy other things in the house. Lock them up and make them work to pay for ever thing they destroyed.

  3. I'm sure Judge Dryden felt bad for them and released them on their own recog. probably gave them a hug on their way out too.

  5. the kid named joseph greenhawk. i know personally and i think they should just give him death row. this incident is no where near as bad as stuff hes done in the past. the guy did the samething to his own grandmother
