Melson Road Closed

At this time Melson Road is closed off to all traffic including residents. The command units have relocated to this area.

Please do not go to this area rubbernecking. Everyone is truly concerned but we need to let Law enforcement officials do their jobs. None of us want to jeopardize their case in any way.

More to come...

UPDATE: A farm located in the area of Melson Road and Hampton is being heavily searched at this time.

  3. If he's the pepperbox peeper, they are oh so close, just on the wrong side of the state line;
    and this would mean he's perfectly comfortably going on those properties at night...

  8. Hey joe do you think maybe Thomas Leggs meybe passed sarah off to another sex offender in the area or in the county if he knew someone from when he was in jail. I dont want to think that but that is really what is going through my mind and a few of my friends that know the mother of sarah. I am praying to god that she will be brought home alive soon. Let me know if their is anything i can do to help out

  9. Joe,
    Why have we not been told anything about her real parents? Where are they? Was the aunt home at the time she was taken from the home? Was it forced entry? Did the sister tell the aunt right away that she left with this CREEP? Was the aunt currently dating him & if she new....WHAT was she thinking? I truly hope they find Sarah!!

  11. all the monday night quarterbacking needs to stop. this is a criminal case and all the inforation that has developed in this case does not been to be public knowledge. the less talk and the streets the better off the agencies can get factual inforation and not a lot of hearsay. law enforcement can't let everyone know what they are doing and all and how they conduct every step of the a investigation.

  14. Thank you for all the updates! We have been checking every few minutes to see anything new. We dropped off food earlier today. It has been such a contrast with the horror and bravery outside and the warm xmas activities with my kids inside. Our prayers and thoughts with everyone involved. Please let us know what else we can do!

    He is a former boyfriend of the aunt. He knew where she hid a key under a flowerpot according to the charging documents.

  16. People, there are a lot of things you have not been told because it's NOT YOUR PLACE TO KNOW THEM. I appreciate that we are all very anxious to know where Sarah is, but some of your posts border on the line of being rude and entitled to this kind of information. You are not. Information is very sensitive and must be protected by the law enforcement agencies for various reasons. Let us put our trust in them. They have more than proved that they are on top of this case. God Bless Mike Lewis and all of the policemen, firemen, divers, searchers and everyone away from their family today who are helping to bring Sarah home.

  23. This thing can do this to a little innocent child and be put in prison to be protected from any harm to him. Something is wrong here.
