Merry Christmas To ALL?

Ladies and Gentlemen and every American Parent,

In case you missed the announcement today, the Unite States Postal Service just cancelled the 55 year old Santa Letter Program. Basically, any letters sent to Santa without a specific address will now be shredded.

God Bless the children.

  1. Haven't you heard? The USPS is pennies away from bankruptcy every year. If eliminating letters to Santa helps their outfit stay afloat, then so be it.

  3. Nice. Just goes to show where priorities are. To hell with the kids of this country. Destroy one more thing for these kids. We pay these idiots so why don't we have a say about this? It's crap.

  4. Excuse me...read the post below as to why. Had nothing to do with money.

I think the reaction is an overeaction, but at least give USPS credit for being worried about the kids:

Postal Service officials said they are tightening rules in such programs nationwide after a postal worker in Maryland recognized a volunteer in the agency's Operation Santa program as a registered sex offender. The postal worker interceded before the individual could answer a child's letter, but the Postal Service viewed the episode as a big enough scare to make changes to the program.
