I love these birds. I watch them mostly in the winter. They love to steal pet food. I have watched them fly right into the neighbors dog house and grab food over and over again.
Isn't this a blue jay? They are also called cat birds because they will swoop down on a cat they think is threatening their nest. My husband had one as a pet.
Yes its a blue jay. Don't dare get near the tree that holds her babies. I had a nest in my plum tree this spring. It became a game cutting grass. I had to wear a helmut. lol. They will scoop down and peck your eyes out.
