Censorship!

Ladies & Gentlemen, we've done it AGAIN! This just in!

"Wanted you to know that your web site has been blocked from all computers at the Somerset County Office Complex."

Hasn't anybody learned yet? Our numbers will skyrocket now in Somerset County, simply because they have all been told they can't view Salisbury News. ROTFLMAO!

I guess they think they'll be protecting themselves if no one is able to access us. Oh well, thanks for the attention. This backfired on the City of Salisbury, the Fire Department as well as PRMC. That's cool with us. EVERYONE knows how much the Salisbury Firefighter love to come to Salisbury News.

Wait till I bust loose the TRUE story about how they killed those two dogs. That's right, I have been in contact with the Family this actually happened to and you're NOT going to believe it. Here, I'll just give you a little teaser before I tell the entire story.

Remember we told you they killed off TWO dogs, yet only ONE bit someone? Well, use your head Folks, why would they kill tTWO dogs if only one allegedy bit someone? MORE TO COME! I'm not done with Somerset County, believe me.

  4. Pohanka was lifted. So was the Delmar Fire Department. I forgot all about the WCBOE, LOL. Those Teachers LOVE Salisbury News!

  5. The censorship is just starting. Slide something through, get no big reaction, then crash the voice of truth. Sam used his position and family to take more control of Somerset. The people allowed it to happen. Does this get you mad? Afraid of voicing out in public. Then write your commissioners in Somerset and have them stop the wrong set forth. It is not to late. If you really care.

  7. Unemployment is up the economy is struggling. People do not need to be blogging (on any blog) at work. This is just common sense

  8. go get 'em Joe. I can't stand gomnt employees, especially appointed ones. BTW, wcboe are gomnt employees. Like all others, they poison everything they touch. Yeah, I'm prejudiced.

  10. Hey Joe,

Maybe this will now help clean up that corrupt county. Believe me the good ole boy network is alive and well there. Come on during their prisoner abuse scandal, people were AFRAID of saying anything FOR FEAR OF THEIR LIVES. Hopefully the Feds will swarm down and take out the trash. Just remember, Michael Vick couldn't be popped on drug charges, but when you mess with fido, people want vengeance.

  11. Somerset had to block access in order to keep Jim Henderson from making such rediculous comments. The county was warned about this man and did nothing about it. I hope Joe is able to expose this county for what it really is.

  12. keep up the good work joe!

  13. Somerset County Complex banned ALL websites...myspace, facebook, news, EVERYTHING, because of one loyal reader of your site who was spending all of his 8 hour work day re-vamping his myspace page in Planning and Zoning. You know the truth Mr. Parks.......

  14. For years I had bad feelings about our county. Then one day we had to deal with them. My wife and I went to planning and zoning and and worked with a very kind and helpful person. He was a newcomer. Maybe we need to stop and make a change. The old ways need to change. We need to trust that the future can be different.

  15. if a company wants to block a site from coming into their network, they have the right to do so. they own the network, they are paying the ISP connection fees. it is their network.

Just like how courts have upheld the fact that a company email does not belong to the employee. If an employee uses email for something that their company wants to review, they have the right to deal with it. the email belongs to the company.

this is not censorship, this is company policy.

I doubt that this comment will ever see the light of day. Not sure if you would ever post it, but it should be.

  16. To 5:00, Yes the truth hurts. I just hope that some sembilence of truth can come from all of this. Henderson is a master manipulator and from the previous investigation was supposedly very good at falsifying documents and fudging the facts. He wouldn't know the truth if it flew up and hit him in the face. Henderson is too full of trying to shift the subject and blame away from himself. Somerset County has been warned over and over about this man and chose to do nothing about him. I wonder is our SA is still sailing on his sinking ship. If she is smart, she will abandon ship, also. Over the last ten years, this man has been allowed to get away with many, many crimes and I hope that he is about to face the music.

  17. You dont mess with the Delmur boys and get away with it. They dont have to come to Salisbury News, because Salisbury News will come to them. You can run, but you cant hide.

  18. If Somerset blocked access to this site for the reason stated, that being, one person was spending all day building his my-space page, than that just shows how unqualified the commissioners and administrator really are. Any company would just terminate the one offender and that would be it. Something tells me that we have a bigger problem here.

  19. Joe, just a little off subject but certainly related to Somerset. Rumor has it that the Crisfield Police Chief was stopped for DWI while driving the city police car. This comes from a good source. The chief is very well known at the American Legion and it is well known that he leaves intoxicated most evenings. The question is nothing appears on the case search about this so I assume he didn't get charged. It's interesting that his picture was in the local paper just a week ago with his arm around SA Kristy Hickman at the Chamber of commerce dinner. At least one council person was advised of this DWI incident but I seriously doubt that anything will be done about it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. LOL I have heard the same rumor but will we ever know?Doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. My guess would be the the SA squashed this just like she did with Purnell and Henderson. Can this county hang on until the next election, I really don't know. I saw that picture of the chief with his arm around the SA. I thought, at the time that it was very unprofessional of both of them to be acting that way in public. She really must like the men in control down here. Heaven forbid ever prosecuting one of them. Wonder what her husband thinks of all this?

  22. Somerset might have every right in the world to ban Joe's site, but the question would be, why would they want to. Obviously they are desperately trying to hide something and prevent employees from posting. I doubt that they have blocked the porn sites that a few visit from time to time.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The employees at the office complex are being paid to work, NOT to be on computers reading blogs. IF these employees cannot devote their time to their paid jobs than I believe the county is justified in blocking web sites. The employees were not told they could not view Salisbury News as they can view it on their home computers after working hours.

  24. Everyone loves nailing county employees.Tell me 7:24 what does your day consist of. I see you found this sight. The fact is there are very productive and caring county employees, What happened with Sam and the commissioners is not fair. In the real world NO COUNTY would look at a person for this position without a College degree. To accept this little for your county talks volumes as to your backround. It may hurt but is true.

  25. Front page photo of Crisfield Police Chief Tabor with his arrm around States Attorney Kristy Hickman certainly seemed inappropriate...the chief probably just left the American Legion bar!
Just wondering WHY the City fathers choose to ignore his DUI in police vehicles? Seems the city might be liable....

  26. All organizations have good employees and bad. Somerset is no different, except the bad are in charge. They protect each other and the good folks have to suffer the consequences. I suspect this had a significant bearing on Mr. Powells decision to leave. Nothing will change with Boston in charge, only get much worse.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It had to be squashed 10:52, can't have the friend of the SA look bad. DWI is minor compared to what she protected Jim Henderson from.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mr. Boston might do a decent job for the county, if he sets his priorities in the right direction and gets rid of the "dead wood". He has had OJT of sorts and certainly knows the ins and outs of the county. I challenge him to make amends with the public and remove those that are detrimental to this county, ie Henderson and others who can't perform in a professional and non criminal manner. As long as Henderson continues to work for the county, Boston will have no peace. He will constantly be wondering what Henderson is up to now. If the public perceives that Boston is trying to rectify past mistakes, then maybe he will get more co-operation from his constituents. Boston should realize now that the Henderson story is not going away, and I imagine that when the feds finalize their investigation, it will certainly make the commisioners be seen in a better light, if Henderson is no longer working for the county.

    ReplyDelete
  29. With Henderson's past experiences with "animal control" in Somerset Co, like the reports of him shooting dogs at ECI, he should have been removed from the position in the office of Animal Control immediately, upon being made public. PETA and the Humane Societies were also notified, so I am sure that Henderson is under review with those agencies. Henderson thinks that he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants and until someone shows that he is not God's answer to Somerset County, he will continue to do so. It will be interesting to see what the deal is with these two dogs, but I will guarantee that the story will in no way be near to what Henderson tells.

  30. A complaint was filed with the county, on Thursday, asking them to investigate Henderson's use of the county computers in making untrue postings on these blogs. Apparently, someone is investigating this complaint, thus the access was blocked on Friday. It's a shame that everyone has to suffer when you have one rogue individual who ruins it for everyone. I commend the county official to whom I spoke, for some action in this matter.

  31. Maybe...County workers looked at the blog because it affects them direcly.
Maybe...County workers care about the quality of their office.
Maybe...County workers spoke out in this fashion for help from residents of Somerset County.
Maybe...We should hear their concerns and listen as residents.
Maybe...The commissioners should be looked into how they handeled Dan Powells position.
    Maybe...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Until someone in authority addresses these serious issues, everyones lives will remain in turmoil. If Mr. Boston has real leadership abilities he will address the problems immediately, openly, and honestly. Some questions that need to be answered are, why wasn't his job advertised, will his employment terminate in 2010 as Mr. Powells would have, why was Jim Henderson hired in secrecy, what is Jim Henderson's employment status at present considering recent complaints and his being under investigation from his prior job at the detention center? The public has a right to know. We pay your salaries in case you have forgotten.

  33. I have had several dealings with the so called chief of police it doesn't surpise me one bit that this dwi was covered up just like his out of control behavior at the tiki bar harassing anyone he could by saying he was the chief and could do what he wants If you look you will also see where a sexual harassment charge was covered up by the city fathers. I would leave my name but in this town you will be targeted and will harassed. For one thing his sargeant and the city manager are his drinking buddies partners in crime just another crooked pracice that is allowed in somerset county good old crisfield Joe I hope you blow this crook back to BALTIMORE.

  34. Not much news from Somerset lately, no one hired, no one fired, and the county employee's still can't access Joe's site I guess.
