  1. Is this a good thing?

    Sign me,

A professional electrician, who also shops at Sam's.

  2. Joe:

You won't see any Pocomoke Government officials shopping at Sams Club.

They give good deals, stand behind their products and don't pay kickbacks...

  3. I see an ambulance and an unmarked Sheriff's dept. car.

Is this where our county tax dollars are going so medics and deputies can go shopping and wasting county gas on their personal time? I see this crap all the time! Deputies driving around and in grocery stores with their families and children in the cars that are bought with my tax dollars! And in t shirts and jeans no less. There's your money for your leops that you want so bad.
I think county government is giving them too much!

    Good picture Joe! Great observation.

  6. So the ambulance captain is having an identity crisis wanting to be cop with the undercover car? Kinda like the fire fighter in Salisbury with the undercover car. You all need to see a shrink

  7. 4:04-Quick to place blame aren't you? Sign your name so an off duty deputy can make sure he helps you out next time he's/she's off duty and you're broken down or robbed...I had an off duty deputy help me and am forever grateful.

  8. Hey Joe,

I've got a pic for ya, apparently Somerset County animal control is having the same problem as some of Salisbury city Gov vehicles. I snagged a pic of one of there vehicles on Jan 14 at the Pocomoke Walmart at 10:12am

  10. The Wicomico Board of Education has a fleet of SUV's that school administrators have for their personal use, at a huge taxpayer expense. But you can't identify them in a parking lot because they don't even have a BOE decal on them.

  13. I'd just like to thank those guys for picking up supplies (paper products, cleaning supplies) for the firehouse. It's not everyday that the average citizen will VOLUNTEER to go grocery shopping for the FH. Use of fire comp. equip is allowed for that. However, bring one of your many vehicles by, Joe, and we'll use it instead. Thanks, Boys!

  14. THERE SHOULD BE COUNTY/CITY/STATE GOVERNMENT DECALS AND MARKED TAGS ON ALL ASSIGNED VEICLES,EXCLUDING UNMARKED POLICECARS.ALL OF THESE TAKE HOME VEHICLES ARE BEING ABUSED DAILY AND COSTING THE TAX PLAYERS PLENTY.CHECK/BALANCE/ACCOUNTABILITY.

  15. ok. so this one belongs to an ambulance personel. What about the other 100 or so times i've seen this?
Would a personal vehicle keep an off duty cop from doing their duty? I sure in the hell hope not.

9:35 go cry to your boss mike lewis. and quit wasting the counties gas for your personal driving!

  16. To Anonymous commenter posted at 0942am.

Those off duty officers in there patrol cars are usualy encouraged to drive there gov. vehicles off duty so long as they are in there jurisdiction in order to continure to show a strong police presence to the community and further more everytime you do see one regardless if they have there family with them or not they are supose to have at least there duty weapon and badge and yes altho they are off duty they still can exercise full athority within there jurisdiction.

  17. Okay, so when you get robbed in the sams club parking lot because the off-duty cop wasn't there, sucks for you huh. Then you'll say, "There's never a cop when you need one". Take home cars are a benefit of the job. Cops frequently help motorists and do traffic stops when off-duty. A negative aspect of the job is getting killed in the line of duty while leaving your family members to make ends meet. This is while you sit around in your footy PJ's, drinking coco with wittle marshmellows in it, typing smack on this blog.

  19. first of all how do you know these medics are on personal time? as a firefighter sometimes we have to go to the grocery store to get food for the station. We don't have people just give it to us. and if we are on duty then that may be the best time to get it since we have to go back to the station anyway. Now don't agree with going all the way to sams club from mardela springs. I'm sure there is a grocery store there.
