See & Gordy & Their Toys!

Ladies & Gentlemen, this Post is about REALITY. It's about financial irresponsibility. Last Spring the Volunteers purchased a brand new 4 door, extended bed pickup truck and paid it in full. Because the Mayor forced the Volunteers a few years ago to turn over their checkbook, Chiefy See & Deputy Chiefy Gordy FORCED the Volunteers to take back the pickup truck and return it to the Dealer. Even though it was paid for through DONATIONS, the Volunteers took a HUGE loss in returning the vehicle.

Now, get this! The City recently went out and purchased 3 brand new vehicles. 2 of them were Suburbans, LOADED with leather interior and the whole nine yards AND a brand new pickup truck to replace the one that was returned.

OK, if you thought that was bad, I'm now told those envelopes that are coming around this month for donations are in fact to PAY for these vehicles/toys! Again, when you get those envelopes, well, you know what to do with them.

I think our new logo should say, MORE TRUTH IN LESS TIME.

  1. Is Bill Gordy the Gordy who owns Tiger Marts Exxon? They got a rubberstamp annexation back in the day for those. Guess he is even richer if he was a member of the LLC that raped the city for 300 grand. It really is like rape of the unkowing average taxpayer who makes the assumption that their elected officials have some integrity. No conscience or shred of moral fiber do these people have.

I think the fire department actually bought 1 brand new suburban and two brand 4x4 pick up trucks. I believe they are surplusing 2 older suburbans and an older 4x4 pickup. I was told by the volunteers that they didn't have a say in this decision and what they had was ok. Is this expense to the tax payers really needed??

Where are my council members that represent me? Why did they approve this? The citizens need an outside audit of the fire department, NOW!!!

  3. I am a Salisbury Firefighter and would like to thank Chief See, Gordy, Hoppes and the Council for our new fire station and brand new emergency vehichles that you have supplied us. These vehicles are needed to do the job day in and out and are greatly appreciated by myself and the rest of the crew. Thanks and keep the department moving forward. You all have done for the department, and also taken a lot of heat. To everyone who is hating us for being on top of things and being at the head of our game, you have the right to your opinions. However, please do not take it out on all fire fighters. No matter what some jo shmo says on here, I can guarantee you that when the horns blow, no matter what station in Wicomico County, we will be there. We are dedicated individuals who are working hard and putting our lives before others just trying to make a difference. Bad apples are in all barrels but don't call us "all" money stealing rednecks. Thats just rediculous and disrespectful. Thank you so kindly.

I rather not leave my name in fear of being disrespected and insulted. However Mr. Albero I believe knows who I am, I've done nothing but treat you with respect as have my father and our family. Thanks

  5. Little good an audit would do if the auditors don't have access to the names on the LLC's.

What we really want to know is who the money goes to as the end result?

Council Members can't seem to get answers to that question, at least the two council members that bother to ask questions about fiscal responsibility with taxpayer dollars.

  6. Because I know you, I've posted your comment OUT OF RESPECT. However, if I didn't know you, I will flat out say, that comment would have been trashed in a New York Second!

I respect the fact that you have your own opinion but please, See & Gordy have done UNBELIEVABLE things and we're just getting started on these two.

I am a Taxpayer in the City of Salisbury and these two have some answering to do to me and to every other Taxpayer. Nevertheless, again, I posted this because I do respect you and your Father. I hope that pleases you but I do not agree with you on this matter.

It should be explained that those vehicles are used to transport people to classes and so forth. A CAB would have been MUCH cheaper!

  7. I HAVE A QUESTION AND HOPE SOMEONE CAN ANSWER IT. IN THE PAST I KNOW A DONATION WAS LEFT TO THE CITY OF SALISBURY FIRE DEPARTMENT. A PRETTY BIG DONATION. EACH STATION USED TO GET MONEY EVERY YEAR FROM THE DONATION. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THEY STILL GET IT ANT WHAT IS THIS MONEY SPENT ON. IF MEMORY SERVES CORRECTLY IT WAS IN THE THOUSANDS THAT EACH DEPARTMENT RECIEVED.

I sincerely appreciate your comment & your ride & loyalty to your proffession. I for one will not argue the need for the new building and whatever new equipment comes with it. I however will vehemently argue the irresponsible decision to build on that particular ground.
As a taxpayer I demand that our elected officials & the chief to come forth & disclose how much more money was added to the total cost to construct on that parcel of land. Whether there better suited ground to build on available? like maybe accross the street.

Yes that is the Bill Gordy from the Gordy TigerMarts and he sits on some committee involving the oil companies situated on the branch of water near the new fire house. There was a study of the ground which the new fire department stands on and it was a very positive study. Found in the soil and groundwater were contaminants such as oil, gases, metals, carcinigens. Connect the dots... catch my drift... HINT! HINT!

    Nice fishig boat.

    11:00 AM

It might be a "nice fishing boat" but that is all the fire department needs for a fire boat to "protect" the river.

    More than adequate.

Yes keep digging.... eventually someone will realize the citizens have been duped by the mare Barrie Parsons Tilghman and her flying monkeys.

Bill Gordy is a crook and he David See and Rick Hoppes have conned the volunteers out of most if not all their money. Donations, county funding and savings. Why do you think they are advertising on tv and the newspaper for donations. Their begging goes as far as a free plug on PAC 14. If the money is for the donations then why is that idiot David See doing the begging on the plug. There are no volunteers at all in the video clip. It is the Troll with the Bad Combover and 3 outsiders doing the video.

  13. I remember hearing one time that the volunteers were left a significant amount of money several years back in someones will.

Does anyone know about that? I am thinking it was a trust fund or something worth over a million dollars. Does anyone know if the 3 Stooges stole that money from the volunteers? Maybe that is why they are begging for money. I think it was handled by the Community Foundation at one time. Can someone look into that?

  14. The Lacy Fund is still in existance. It used to pay out directly to the Salisbury volunteer FD's every year the net profit from the annunity, and they could use the money at their disretion. The city took the fund over when they removed any power to make financial decisions feom the volunteers years ago. The money goes directly to the city now. The city rips off the system and gets funding from the federal, city and state govt like it has 3 separate depts, but it really has one dept and 2 substations. They triple dip.

  15. My understanding about the truck that was bought and had to be returned is that it was bought with out proper approval, and that the city made the volly's return it because they thought it was going to be a liablity issue. There concern was that the truck usage was going to be abused. ie joy riding instead of being at the station

Yeah right idiot!!! If they were worried about the volunteers joy riding they wouldn't have allowed them to buy a nicer, more expensive Suburban to joy ride in. You idiots are so full of shit trying to cover things up it is rediculus.

If they didn't have the proper approval then where did they get the money from? Nothing like a dictatorship!!

  17. What you don't know is the station 2 vollies own a house and rent it out and that was bought without approval from the city! The reason it was returned was because of the rules that were passed when the station 2 conflick had ended.

  18. Buy not letting the Vollies buy that truck the city was saying "you cant do want you want" and we have this MOU paper to prove it.

If all 3 Vollie houses in the city got their heads out of their asses and worked together they themselves would form a political powerhouse. It is that working together that has to be worked out. I am not talking about on a fire scene either.

You need to point out that the so called station 2 "revolt" was their perogative and perfectly legal. The reason it didn't happen was because the appropriate political entities didn't want to get involved. The volunteers at station 2 would have done very well on their own, but the greedy power hungry dictators Gordy, See, and Barrie didn't want to lose that power and money.

  24. I just happened to ride by the fire house on Naylor Street and saw that nice looking Suburban parked outside on the end. How much did the thing cost? They are very expensive vehicles. Guess what, no donations to the fire department this year or ever again until the current administration steps down.

For years I thought my donations were going to the volunteers for their hard work to the community? My family has been big supporters of the volunteers for years and now I feel as though I have been betrayed by the city. This really hurts!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. The only thing I can add, is that donation money that is collected by mailings. Is openned from all 3 stations and members from all 3 stations sit on this panel they count and record it. Disscussion is held (before hand)to decide on how funds will be spent this year. In the past they've bought us the Thermal imaging camera for all 3 stations. Whatever it is they make it for or toward all 3 stations and a decision is made by those members representing all 3 stations. Anyone can volunteer for that panel.
what is done with allocated money from a budget , couldn't help you with.
