Californians are buying their own fire trucks on Craigslist following devastating 2020 wildfires
Concerned over destructive wildfires, a heatwave that could spark another blaze and depleted fire resources, California residents can purchase their own fire trucks via Craigslist for protection. A Sacramento-based company called Vans from Japan is using the online marketplace to sell the fire vehicles to fight fires, which includes a 2013 Peterbilt water truck that sells for $69,000 and can hold 2,500 gallons, NPR reported. A Type 6 Fire Truck in Napa is being offered at $17,500 and comes fitted with a Hale pump and 200 feet of hard-line hose with a nozzle, SF Gate reported. A 1995 Toyota Hilux fire truck with only 5,000 miles will set buyers back $17,000.
I can't really blame them. I would do the same thing. They better learn to operate those fire trucks. It's not a simple task.
They can always call that Little Turd Burglar Jimi Gladwell. She thinks she is God's gift to firefighting. Ask Jake Day! Jimi Gladwell is good at laying pipe and rolling hose, ask Jake Day. Jimi Gladwell is Jake Day's biggest a$$ kisser. You gotta kiss a$$ to make sure you stay outta trouble and get promoted.
Hey Jimi Gladwell, do you remember that night on the hose bed at Station 1 with that County Deputy? I wonder is Sheriff Shawty knows what you did to his deputy?
This going to cause more problems than solutions. It is a false sense of hope that will get people in trouble. You can't stop a raging wildfire with 2,500 gallons of water. But those people will now stay to try and protect their property.

Challenging times requires out of the box thinking! Could this cause problems with normal standing operating procedures (as who is responsible)?
ReplyDeleteYes - however when was the last anything was "normal"?
Yea well California just legalized pedophilia so nothing surprises me in that failed state

ReplyDeleteCan you buy a truck that holds 20 million gallons of water to fight the wildfire? No? Then they shouldn't waste their money.
ReplyDeleteThe Democrats better buy their own trucks !!! Nothing Coming for them
