A Viewer Writes: It doesn't pay to work anymore

  1. Blame the gross misconduct our government lets billionaires get away with. They don't hire American and legislators do nothing to write laws making them pay their fair share of taxes which would help our country IMMENSELY.

  2. Meanwhile, those a dollar over the means threshold pay full freight.

  3. Feed them now (cheaper prices while in school), they WILL pay later.

Very simple business model. DirectTV has done that for years.

  8. Truth is Amazon gives this discount to everyone. if you don't see one for you request to chat with a customer rep and you will get a discount.

  9. If they’re not working then they have time to drive to Walmart to shop & shouldn’t have to order overpriced stuff from Amazon. & pay for shipping.

  11. Let's talk about Privilege..

Privilege is wearing $200 sneakers when you've never had a job.
Privilege is wearing $300 Beats headphones while living on public assistance.
Privilege is having a smartphone with a data plan which you receive no bill for.
Privilege is living in public subsidized housing where you don't have to water bill, where rising property taxes and rents and energy costs have absolutely no effect on the amount of food you can put on your table.
Privilege is the ability to go march against and protest against anything that triggers you, without worrying about calling out of work and the consequences that accompany such behavior

  14. I absolutely agree. I have worked through the entire pandemic and dont have any benefits. Same paycheck, same headaches, same irritating coworkers but I still never stopped going to work.

  15. Just a thought - I believe no one should be aloud to vote unless they pay taxes. Kids today have no idea what the real world is all about. They think every penny they earn working goes home with them. What a shock when they learn how much city, county, State and federal governments want from that take home pay. Let's not forget Social security, health care premiums. Then their votes would be for the best qualified not a popularity contest like Obama.

  16. I'm going to demand a senior citizen discount on my Prime membership and call them out on age discrimination. My monthly Social Security benefits decreased this year, and I'm still paying my way in life, unlike a bunch of these deadbeats.
