Racial re-education will be a requirement for study at the institute
Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia is to mandate that all of its students take a “Race and Ethnicity Requirement” course from next year, following consistent demands from the university’s black student group.
Campus Reform reports that the university wants all students to understand “how racial and ethnic antagonisms and inequality develop historically.”
“After careful consideration over the past six years, and in ongoing consultation with faculty, students, and administrators, the Emory College Faculty Senate and the Working Group on the Undergraduate Curriculum concur that Emory University has a particular obligation and opportunity to focus a diversity requirement on the crucial role of race and ethnicity in shaping our institutions, and in furthering students’ understanding of current domestic and international political and social relations,” a statement reads.
Black students at the university have been lobbying for the move for over five years.
Back in 2015 a letter from the group noted that it was “still reeling at injustices made by the University and the lack of adequate action.”
The students demanded that officials at the university “understand and then appropriately address the mental stress incurred by Black Students at this institution on a daily basis.”

How about black students get pre-college education about how to transition to a predominantly white culture without all the drama?
ReplyDeleteAs a state government employee, I already have to taking trainings on that crap. It’s pure bullsh$t.
ReplyDeleteIn other words. They will teach
ReplyDeleteWHITE IS BAD. BLACK IS GOOD. SEEN THIS BULLSHIT BEFORE. JUST LOOK AT THE BURNING CITIES. NOTHING NEW.
This is good. The faster colleges can hire useless "diversity, equity and inclusion" administrators, the faster they can go out of business. The more bloated and top-heavy, the worse the education for the students, who will soon realize that it is just a waste of time.
ReplyDeleteIt’s like them saying, we are here and you have to accept us hating you and take responsibility for it too.
ReplyDeleteWe can have a black student union but God would condemn a white student union.
If you don’t like it we’ll burn it down.
Obviously, they are not going to be civil.
Enough is enough.
Repatriation! Not reparation!
I have had to take orientation courses when I returned to college to finish my degree and continue in grad school. They were based around understanding academic writing policies such as APA and avoiding plagiarism. Activities included knowledge of using school resources such as the writing center. In other words.....THEY PREPARED ME FOR THE EXPECTATIONS OF BEING A COLLEGE STUDENT!!!
ReplyDeleteJust another way of giving useless, RACIST'S blacks a teaching job at a college. Don't we have enough of those already??? BLACKS teaching White's how wonderful they are.
ReplyDelete****** PLEASE!!
Why weren't all these universities and colleges up in arms when Franklin D. Roosevelt put over 100,000 Japanese Americans in concentration camps here in America during the Second World War?
ReplyDeleteDid they have ethnic classes then and we just didn't know about it? Probably not.
Why don't we start teaching our children history from the beginning of America. We shouldn't just single out one race. Yes there was slavery - it wasn't just white folks with slaves. Black's owned and sold slaves too. Why don't you hear more about that.
ReplyDeleteBlacks are not oppressed. Just visit the Appalachians - now there is a group of poor American citizens. They are so oppressed that you only hear about them dying from drugs. Politicians what you to believe Blacks are oppressed. Democrats have kept them in there place just for their vote. It's the same with welfare Americans - vote Democrat to keep those checks and food stamps coming in monthly for same families generation after Generation.
Vote Trump and Republicans for House and Senate.
