Secret CDC document says full reopening of schools and universities places Americans at 'highest risk' of spread of coronavirus despite Trump's push to reopen classrooms

A full reopening of schools, colleges and universities this fall would pose the ‘highest risk’ for the spread of the coronavirus, according to an internal document from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The findings are significant in that they clash with President Trump’s stated desire to have schools and universities resume in-person instruction despite the raging pandemic that has so far claimed more than 134,000 American lives.

The 69-page CDC document obtained by The New York Times is marked ‘For Internal Use Only.’

  3. CDC Is just a liberal government organization that is pushing for the collapse of our life as we know it We have had flu viruses forever and exposure to build up antibodies is the only cure
How childish an uneducated can we be to expect numbers to not go up after keroingvfolks cooped up for three months or more. Turn them loose and think cases won’t increase. This whole issue has become totally political and there is no limit as to the steps the politicians will take to keep the country closed down till after November. Wait and see how quickly things change after November. We are truly Sheeple

  4. Dr Fauci and all these people at the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention have all been way off the mark put all the big viruses in this country and abroad and the figures will be about the same. Compare the list we have dealt with them years after years. Maybe not many hit this country but it doesn't mean they didn't exist. We never did all these steps of self distancing, and masks before and shutting everything down and they ran their course. So what have we accomplished besides bankrupting millions, depleting the best and most successful years in this country in years. And causing human errors of not looking after nursing home residents which is the biggest statistics, not using the police more instead of tearing them down, letting looters ruin our cities we are the common denominator we let the Dems, BLM, and the media tread all over us and our country. We allowed it.

  8. That is complete BS. The young are not at risk. Open the schools! Put up booths of plastic sheeting around older teachers desks. Have the teachers, administrators and staff where masks. Were we not told that they provide safety? Well if they are safe, then use them. Have older staff take retirement if they won't work.
And if you are not going to open the schools and universities, then we will expect a return of taxes not used since the schools are closed. Give us our money!
And by the way, millions of us have had to work all through this pandemic. Get off your butts and open the schools.
