Biden campaign declines 'Fox News Sunday' interview, 1 week after Chris Wallace's Trump sitdown

'We'll keep asking every week'

During his interview with Chris Wallace last week, President Trump questioned whether the Democrats' presumptive presidential nominee, Joe Biden, could handle the barrage of questioning that Wallace posed to Trump.

The answer to that question – at least for now – we may never know.

Wallace on Sunday informed viewers that the Biden campaign told Fox News he was “not available” for an interview.

"In our interview last week with President Trump, he questioned whether his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, could handle a similar encounter,” Wallace said. “This week, we asked the Biden campaign for an interview and they said the former vice president was not available.”

He added, “We’ll keep asking every week.”

  1. Come on. Do you really think that bum Wallace is going to go after BIDEN like he did President Trump?? Hell no. This bum is just trying to get ratings.

  2. Did Wallace really ask Biden to appear on his show?

  3. Anyone who has watched "FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace" has to agree he is as tough on Dems as he is GOP guests. What is interesting is how the responses skirt the questions; Wallace however is tenacious and will even repeat the question demanding an answer. He went after Trump and should have; Trump answered. Biden would falter under Wallace, he just does not have the mental stamina.

  5. Meh... can't say I blame him, nor am I surprised in the least.

Fox news has mostly been friendly to and with Trump. I don't think they would be quite as amiable with Biden, nor have they been so friendly to him (just look how they covered Obama... reference how they treated Obama when he suggested being more diplomatic with North Korea vs how they treated Trump for the same thing).

Wallace didn't just pitch softballs to Trump, but there is no reason to think Biden would get a similar interview.

If it were the same analogy, it would be it Trump did an interview at MSNBC, and Biden did a Fox interview.

I think what they are engaged in here is a slight of hand to try to help Trump in his all ready abysmal polls.

  7. Biden is in the run out the clock mode. 9/29...1st debate...better happen and I can’t wait.

  8. The strategy is to hide him until they can't, and then hang on and hope for the best.

  11. Watch and see if they don't wiggle Biden out of any debates. They know it would be suicide for him. He should have to debate or drop out!
