As of yesterday the state health department said our kids can’t play baseball. Our County Health Dept said our kids can play baseball. Fruitland city Council however has decided our kids cannot play baseball on Fruitland fields. There is a tournament that can be played but Fruitland city council has decided they have more power than the governor state health department and local health department.
If you all would please feel free to call Fruitland city Council at Fruitland City Hall and demand they open the ballfields this weekend to play baseball soccer lacrosse or any tournament that is scheduled.
I personally don’t want any government entity to control how I do what I do and when I do it. With respect to their job I applaud them but in this situation it’s totally disrespectful to not only our kids but our USA.

No thanks. Cancel the season. Keep our kids safe.
ReplyDeleteThere's NO vaccine. Nothing has changed.
These are city owned fields.
ReplyDeleteIf the city doesn't want the liability and risk, you can't blame them.
If you don't bring in revenue Fruitland little league can fold.
DeleteLove how you don't want any "government entity to control what you do". Are you a sovereign citizen? Loser.
ReplyDeleteYou want my input?
ReplyDeleteI say find a safer activity for the summer. Kids sharing equipment, lack of social distancing, high touch items like balls, etc. No thanks. It's amazing how everyone thinks the virus has simply gone away and are upset at people trying to keep our youth safe.
Stop being so scared of nothing
DeleteYes, they can play the new "Call of Duty" for 3 months straight, probably longer since this virus is expected to keep killing everyone until early November.
DeleteThis is not true. I've talked to the tournament director and we are allowing the kids to play.
ReplyDeleteTrue but they can't use the fruitland feilds.
Deletewhy are people still going along with this scam?
ReplyDeleteFor God's sake, let the kids play ball. Ridiculous, and if this shutdown continues it will scar these kids for life.
ReplyDeleteWe should protest. Baseball Matters!
ReplyDeleteNo baseball, but they are allowing the coed wrestling tournament next weekend. Ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteCalled the city. Donna said someone is trying to stir the pot. They have no problem with playing and in fact, will be at the games grilling free hot dogs to winning team players.
ReplyDeleteI call BS fruitland feilds are not being used. And they dont cook hotdogs for the winning team in tournaments.
DeleteI am confused because while they have the name of the county in them the health department is a state agency. If you are an employee of the Wic Co Health Dept you are a state employee. Same how it works with the court system and the board of ed.
ReplyDelete4:39 the covid death numbers are essentially the same as the flu. The treatment and exaggeration by the media of this virus has been a sham. The absolute best thing for the kids is to be outside playing ball.
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame. Ask any of the parents at these tournaments and they will tell you their son is the next Manny Machado. The city of Fruitland should be ashamed that they arent allowing Manny to play.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of Fruitland Baseball. Too much politics and favoritism. All Stars is all about who you know. Glad I know everyone.
ReplyDeleteLooks like five dems to me.They are sure acting like dems.
ReplyDeleteDon't come here and stir $hit on our forum.
ReplyDeleteI'm upset by this! How will my son get a trophy now? Stupid Fruitland! Each kid deserves a trophy!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is anyone at the city office named Donna.
ReplyDeleteI also don't believe kids will be "scarred for life" if they don't play baseball.
Does the city get any revenue? I'm guessing not or they'd let them play.
ReplyDeleteStop asking a corrupt government for permission.
ReplyDeleteGet off your knees!
Mark Miciotto on the Fruitland City Council! What a joke he is! I did not know the city charter allowed criminals on the council! He was in collusion years ago with an employee at the Auto Zone nearby that used to fence auto parts out the back door to him for his auto repair business in his garage!!!
