Seaford– The Delaware State Police have arrested a Bronx, New York, man for assault and terroristic charges.
On June 12, 2020, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to the 25000 block of Rocky Road, Seaford, for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, Troopers learned 40-year-old, Shane Sewsaud, was intoxicated and shot his 69-year-old stepfather in the foot with a pellet gun for unknown reasons. After being shot, the victim called a neighbor who responded to the residence. When questioned by the 60-year-old Seaford man, Sewaud began arguing with the neighbor and threatened to kill him. The injured victim was treated at a nearby hospital for his injury.
Sewsaud was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following crimes:
- Assault 2nd Degree
- Terroristic Threatening
Sewsaud was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court and was issued a $6,000.00 secured bond and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution.
