Details Double amputee 'protesting in Ohio hit and pepper-sprayed by police'

A disturbing cellphone recording that was taken during Sunday's George Floydprotests in Ohio shows a double amputee thrashing on the ground in agony after allegedly being knocked down and pepper-sprayed by police.

The incident took place during a clash between Columbus police officers and a crowd of people protesting police brutality.

According to multiple purported witnesses, the double amputee was peacefully protesting when officers possibly struck him and deployed pepper spray against him.

  2. American's today better be prepared for anything during a protest. Doesn't matter, law enforcement in the heat of the moment do not discriminate once orders are given. Race, national origin, sex nor disability will not prevent orders being carried out.

IF you think otherwise, well its good to think but not being in the shoes of our LEO's once orders are given they must adhere to the chain of command.

  11. Should have obeyed the Police command. They warn before they release pepper spray / gas. You don't move you get what you ask for.

    NO PITY.

  14. They are all "peacefully protesting" according to them. Even when people are getting shot and buildings are looted/burned. He was there, he has to accept that sh*t might happen. Don't like the odds. Don't go. I'm all out of sympathy for these people.

  15. Failure to abide by a lawful order is... wait for it... unlawful.
He should consider himself lucky not to have been pepper sprayed then handcuffed.

Tell me WTF was he doing there anyway. He was looking for a pity trip when in reality he was just in the way. People don't care about martyrs who think everyone needs to cater to them because life's just a bitch sometimes. I feel for his affliction yet he should know his place. The police does what's needed in riot situations and they don't cull the perpetrators,so he's just a statistic and shouldn't have been there at all. Should a man in a wheel chair subject himself to toxic gases and hoodlums Hell bent on destruction? If he protested within the parameters of his unfortunate dignity as an individual he would have been out of harms way.
