Publishers Notes: It's nice to see a professional Governor make such an announcement so businesses that have been closed have enough time to stock up, hire staff and reopen. Maybe Hogan can learn a little something from Carney. Come on Hogan, get off your lazy ass and let's get moving, we want to go back to work.

BREAKING NEWS: Delaware To Enter Phase 2 June 15; Restaurants Can Then Welcome 60% Inside Capacity
From The Dispatch
In what was a surprise to many today, Delaware Gov. John Carney announced major changes ahead for the first state, including entering phase two of the state's recovery plan effective June 15. Restaurants, retail stores, meeting spaces and convention centers will be able to operate at 60% capacity at that time, up from the current 30% that took effect Monday. Indoor gathering limits will cap at 50 on June 15. Salons, barber shops, tattoo parlors, nail care and massage therapists will be able to open at 30% occupancy effective June 15.
Yes!!!! Hogan waits until the last minute, then everyone scrambles, then he adds more guidelines and specifics after business owners think they are prepared and compliant. And the Eastern Shore seriously needs to be separate from all of Maryland. If he can hold PG and Montgomery county back 2 weeks, then he can go ahead and open up the Eastern Shore earlier than the others, as our numbers prove that we are compliant as can be.
ReplyDeleteGood luck opening now ?
ReplyDeleteNot going to happen
ReplyDeleteToo Little...Too Late...big wup!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad they went with 60% capacity instead of 50%. I suppose they ran the numbers and 60% came out safe?

DeleteI was pulling for 62% and think it would have been perfectly safe. So long as none of the hospitals near us need $1,300 to declare another COVID-19 victim. In that case a 10% capacity would be more favorable.
What a joke at this point it was a hoax
ReplyDeleteI.Hate.Adolph.Hogan, so damn stupid for this crap to continue. Doesn't he know the supposed virus is over, that demonstrating and looting and burning took its place, doesn't he watch all that going on, doesn't he know a good majority are not wearing masks and if they are it's to hide their whole face so they can't be recognized, doesn't he know they are not 6 feet apart. Hogan you are a joke, period.
ReplyDeleteCarney is doing damage control because a candidate filed against him and people are mad at all the riots across the state. It's not about the safety of people or helping businesses- it is about covering his own butt
ReplyDeleteLockdown Larry Hogan will do Nothing until he gets his orders from Nancy DeAlessandro Pelosi. Hey Larry, have you seen, those "Protesters" around Baltimore? No Masks, No Social Distancing, So Now What? Will the Storm Troopers start arresting the criminals or are they "more concerned" about Mom & Pop businesses on the Shore?
ReplyDelete5:59 you NAILED it
