But what about the smoking enforcement?
ReplyDeleteThis is unreal. Over the years we’ve all bemoaned the June bugs, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Implement an immediate curfew on everyone under 21 and enforce it as well as be a lot more proactive. Covid 19 severely hampered businesses, but this will put a stake through the heart of any kind of recovery.

ReplyDeleteI saw a facebook post on an Ocean City page about several police cars at the inlet then following a crowd. It was mentioned that other out of town police came flying over the bridge. There were many comments from others saying they saw it too. It was posted just before midnight last might, but has been removed. Does anyone know what happened? Why is the Mayor hiding these things?

If I'm in their presence anytime and they say OC is a family place, I'm going to hit them with a brick. OC local here and I pay taxes for these jerks to waste. They're a load in everybodys pants that are full time residents. I hope election time people don't forget this incompetence and inaction.

ReplyDeleteIt isn't just the June bugs. Daytrippers from DC area on Boardwalk at 3-4 a.m. causing trouble. No police to stop them. They go home and tell their buddies that there is no law enforcement on OC Boardwalk, so more come.

Stabbing victim is okay. From what I was told he left the hospital he was at.

I witnessed first hand about 1am on the boardwalk at 9th.st.looked like 4th of july.have never seen such disrespect to the law enforcement officers and even fire/ems.they interfere while trying to do there jobs.not get out of the way.the foul language towards public saftey.its a wonder they haven't had to shoot one yet!as said before,impose an immediate curfew.

Since then, four of his (us) five kids own homes in OC and Ocean Pines.
One is a lifelong resident of the town.
Ocean City hasn't changed. Society has.
We just got to roll with the punches.
We'll survive this.
My friend told me he saw 2 or 3 people smoking on the boardwalk.
