  1. For Pete's Sake.

I told you dumb ass State Highway
that this new light will just create a hurry up before it turns driving

hopefully, the attorney will sue State Highway head who implemented this light
and Sue Governor HUNGRY HOGAN for allowing this to occur

  4. Donnie Drewer, former state highway employee told me that stop lights cause more accidents, but no one would listen to me. Those idiots at the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department kept pushing for it and they kept putting pressure on certain elected officials. Dumb Fking move!!

  10. If everyone would just stick their heads back in the sand and stay inside like our leaders told us to, nobody would die. Come on people. Our government knows what's best! You should never question them, and just keep giving them your hard earned taxes, because otherwise, you would just blow the money on useless things like food, housing, and other things that the government should be providing us with.....

  11. I really wish all you armchair know it alls would just shut the #%(@ up. Really. All the ridiculous "I told you so" BS.

People died, have some empathy for others.
It isn't time for your ignorant know-nothing chest thumping

May 16, 2020 at 10:27 PM - since you know it all you would rather they did nothing? At least they tried re-engineering the interaction and adding a light. What did you other than comment on a blog.

  12. I know the Minton family. They are an amazing family and have always given so much to their community. My prayers are with the family that lost their loved one and the Minton family. They are beyond devastated and grieving for this man's family. Please keep both families in your thoughts and prayers.

  14. If the vehicle was travelling westbound and had green light to turn left and cross eastbound 50, that means the vehicle traveling east ran the light by at least 10 seconds. Travesty that drivers can be so stupid!

  15. Sadly, accidents such as this has been a part of US Rte. 50 from the get-go. If one would only investigate the little “Park” located in the southeast quadrant of the intersection of Rte. 50 & Phillip Morris Drive you will find a memorial to a gentleman who worked on the construction of Rte 50. His untimely death occurred on the day Rte 50 was slated to open to the public. As he was doing a final ride through before the opening ceremonies, the vehicle he was driving was stricken by a second vehicle crossing Rte 50 illegally.
