BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Those who depend on SNAP benefits will soon be able to use them online.
The USDA has approved the State of Maryland’s request to allow SNAP households to buy food online.
State officials are working to make sure stores such as ShopRite, Amazon and Walmart start making these benefits available online as soon as possible.
Many stores have also committed to wave delivery and services fees for SNAP households.
For the latest information on coronavirus go to the Maryland Health Department’s website or call 211. You can find all of WJZ’s coverage on coronavirus in Maryland here.

This is ridiculous. They can buy better / more expensive food than I can now. They also receive Supplemental Income from the Social Security fund while the government wants to take or decrease my Social Security. This proves Politians are pushing / converting everything to SOCIALISM. PATHETIC.
ReplyDeleteWTF TRUMP ?
ReplyDeleteiF Govt don't cut out benefits !!! Like some politicians want !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat. Take even more taxes from me to give it to the less “fortunate.”
ReplyDeleteI apparently don’t need it.
I will keep buying generic foodstuffs and paying delivery and service charges because I’m so much better off.
Yeah, I have to agree with you. This is getting stupid.
DeleteWhy don't they force these people to MAIL their request to merchants instead of online. USPS knows how to ship lobster.
ReplyDeletePushing that cashless, tracable, controlling debt card. Mark of the beast? come and get yours before we run out of other peoples money. And now Some stores not accepting cash during pandemic.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever worked with a family and went through the process of buying food products on the snap program you would not have the comments you do. Snap is specific to the product and the measurement. Useful idiots. It is an entirely different program than EBT.
ReplyDeleteIf the families have the ability to do all this online, maybe they could figure out a way for one of them to GET A JOB online.
DeleteYou do know that only 6% of tax money goes to all welfare and assistance programs. You all kick the little man while the rich get all the benefits.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the 6% and which tax money are you referring to??
DeleteGoogle it.
Deleteif ebt is for food then how does one justify using it for shipping charges? or is the government gonna increase the amounts to cover shipping and handling? of course they will!

Then why have I seen in some stores that sodas can be bought with snap?
What about the children? Do you shorebillys ever think of that? They are innocent and blameless. They have absolutely no control over the behavior/habits/spending of the adults in their world. They need to eat. But you would snatch the bread right out of their mouths with your hatred and spite.
ReplyDeleteKeep your legs CLOSED.
DeleteNow they can order Lobster Online !!!!
ReplyDeleteSeafood Sales SOAR !!! LOL LOL
