Prosecutors warn there is ‘evidence that does not support criminal charge’ in case of four cops accused of killing George Floyd as they say police can use a ‘certain amount of force - but not excessive’

Prosecutors have warned there is ‘evidence that does not support criminal charges’ in the case of four cops accused of killing George Floyd, as they say police can use a ‘certain amount of force - but not excessive’.

At a press conference Thursday, Mike Freeman, county attorney for Hennepin County, condemned the actions of white cop Derek Chauvin as 'horrific and terrible', but said prosecutors needed to determine if he used 'excessive' force when he knelt on the black man's neck for eight minutes until he passed out and later died.

'That video is graphic and horrific and terrible and no person should do that,' he said.

'But my job in the end is to prove he violated a criminal statute - but there is other evidence that does not support a criminal charge.'

  2. Nothing to support a charge?

That is because there are 2 sets of laws in this country. One for The Elite and one for the rest of us.

This is outrageous. But, people need to stop rioting and start lynching public officals. Becasue they dont care. And they will fix nothing.

Yeah a lot of blood might be spilt but it needs to happen. Even Th. Jefferson agrees.

  3. Well I guess I am in agreement with the criminals on this one. They want instant justice when it comes to these officers. Well Homies that goes both ways. It would be nice to see drug dealers, rapists, methheads, crack heads, home invaders, child molestors, bank robbers, murderers, scam artists, looters, shop lifters, car jackers and many others shot on site. No trial guilty as charged. I hope that isn't what the people of Minneapolis are wanting....But then again I do.

  4. Oh boy, more rioting coming!

  5. Chauvin charged with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter!

  6. 3rd degree murder and manslaughter. Can’t wait to see that thug ex-cop paraded in front of the cameras in handcuffs. Then they can get to work on charging the other 3 ex-cops.

  7. They Just charged him with murder and manslaughter.

  8. If that wasn't excessive then neither is torching a dollar store.

  9. They need to do what is right by the current local laws in effect at the time of the incident!

The law can be changed - but if the current laws were not violated - prepare for ludicrous looting!

  10. "Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said on Thursday he believes George Floyd would still be alive today if he had been a white man"

Typical comment from a Democrat Mare. Notice the name Jacob. Who does that remind you of?

  11. Something must have turned up in the autopsy that made George for lack of a better phrase a dead man walking. This explains the lower Murder 3 and manslaughter charges.

  12. Remember Rodney king verdict. They will burn Minneapolis again.

  13. I said it couple days ago the death has nothing to do with his neck. Autopsy will reveal a heart condition.

  14. Like I said before. To all you POS armchair lawyers who came here with your worthless assessment. STFU ALREADY.

  17. So, the "victim" stole and used fake money. How would you feel if you were HIS victim..?

Just another scumbag that escaped Baltimore.

  18. It doesn't matter if he had a heart condition. That cop crushed his neck with his knee until he couldn't breathe. 8 minutes. Just imagine that being you with your face on the pavement.
And don't spout off about how he stole and used fake money. That is not a violent offense and doesn't call for violence againt the perpetrator. If he had a gun & threatened someone, then that's a different story, but he didn't.

  19. 5:35 I never heard he stole but as far as the fake money when a child me and my cousins were victims of fake money makers. so he may have been also getting it as change somewhere. My grandmother had us selling "blessed" altoids and bouquets outside her fortune telling shop in Baltimore. Someone came and bought the 5 dollar altoids and paid with a fake 20. Finding us children as easy marks they sent another one back and bought flowers and mints for 10 dollars. Paid with a fake 100. We gave them the fake 20 as change. So then they sent someone else to buy 5 dollar mints again to get rid of the fake 20 we gave them as change. If we sold enough our grandmother would take us to toy r us who while they didnt' know us by name knew us from being in there all the time. We paid unknowingly with the fake 100. Next time we went in a few days later the cops were called and we were told what was going on. We knew right away who gave us the money since 100's were rare though not their names or where they were from since they were strangers to us. My point is don't automatically think he knew the money was fake.

  21. He didn't die from the neck issue it was from his medical issue and drugs in his system.

  22. the cop should not have kept his knee on him that long, but that fool put himself in the position. If he had not committed a crime to start with, he would not have been put on the ground. Don't put yourself in these positions and maybe you live to see another day.

  23. 7:20 No one can say it was excessive at this point in time. Against training and orders yes but excessive that is just as assumption The video doesn't show how much pressure was being applied and now since some of the autopsy's been released it's been determined he didn't die from that at all He was a walking time bomb with all his medical issues and they are waiting on tox report since it was said he appeared to be under the influence of something.

  24. Agree 100% With You 7:20 !! Right On The Money !!! ... I Say : EXACTLY !

  25. 6L43 his neck was NOT crushed Please be truthful Do not lie. You will be called out . Lying serves no purpose The autopsy says he did not die from the knee to the neck. Again lying serves no purpose.

#GeorgeFloyd died as a result of:
    1. underlying health conditions
    2. 'potential' intoxicants.
    3. No aspyhxia from Derek Chauvin knee

  26. The only difference between this and the riots in Baltimore in 1968 was that we didn't have cell phone cameras. The merchants who were left untouched were those that offered free coffee to all police and National Guardsmen (they carried weapons on them). The rioters (they are NOT "protesters") were burning down businesses that provided services to these people. The businesses did not reopen and left Baltimore with a lot of boarded up row houses. This is what happens when you charge people for using a plastic straw and others are left to "get it out of their system".

The civil unrest of the 60's is not taught in schools and there aren't a lot of photos of it laying around.
