And before the knee jerk parrots start squawking, I'm a Republican who voted for Trump who cares about not misrepresenting peoples actual positions on things. When you are correct about something, you don't need to resort to this sort of argumentation.
California funds free needles to drug addicts. They're supposed to be exchanged but they're not. As evidenced by the fact SF cleaned up on average 12,800 needles a month off city streets. So in all likelihood the free needles are getting shared. To combat that, instead of stopping the free needles, SF in 2019 spent 15 million to pay volunteers to inject the addicts for them and dispose the used needles.
