As much as we are all chomping at the bit to open our doors it is too soon to pull it off. We consulted with several other bar/restaurants throughout the OC and west OC area and came to the conclusion that the county simply wants to make it to difficult for us to create outdoor seating within the confines of the letter of the law, (Hogan's Order). Rather then hiring attorneys we will ALL wait two more weeks, (or less) for stage II.
Trust me, I now! We are all growing tired of these expensive challenges and our conservative staff are dying to get back to work. If anything changes I'll let you know immediately. In the mean time, thanks for understanding.
Those of us that have followed you and this blog over the years, Joe, are witnessing a side of you on this matter that we have rarely, if ever, seen.
ReplyDeleteMost of us do understand that if you are a businessman you have to 'play nice' with the Powers That Be to get things done, especially in a small town.
We'll all be looking forward to hearing the REAL story from you once this is all behind us.
In the meantime (as you say) we applaud your restraint!
The county leadership needs to be Thrown OUT.
DeleteAll restaurants, both indoor and outdoor, should be open 100%. Lets stop going along with the charade that this virus is as deadly as it is. There’s barely a difference in death rates from 2019 to 2020. We have all been played.
ReplyDeleteAgreed
DeleteSo why did you announce opening ?
ReplyDeletePoor leadership.
Back to north Korea you socialist commie Prick.
DeleteHe announced the opening because that's the correct thing to do. I would bet my last dime that those who are jealous of his success are making it impossible to open with out severe conquencies - withdrawal of liquor license - yes😡. This is a perfect example of those in power gone bad. Why can't Maryland follow FL Governor success in opening the State. Why - because Hogan is a Democrat who wants to destroy America for personal gain.
DeleteSmart Joe. You want our return patronage. Health safety comes first. I'll toast you later. Best of health.
ReplyDeleteThere won't be a later if you don't open now. My opinion - economy is going to hell. 🌴
DeleteIt's not a health issue 9:52, it's a control issue. If the county takes his license, which by the way is illegal, he will be done. Waiting two more weeks or more is the smart thing to do. The loss will be much less than fighting authorities for months or possibly years to get his license back. Let the big fish test the waters first.
Delete9:42 get some help for your delusions. Joe never announced he was opening. As a matter of fact said he decided to give it 2 weeks in a previous post. You people are so in a hurry to insult that you end up making an imbecile out of yourself
ReplyDeleteAnd then what a lawsuit ? That will NEVER be seen during this and that's WHAT DEMS WANT.
DeleteI tell you what WHEN AND IF this is over throw out all the scumbags that voted to keep this ongoing.
ReplyDeleteI think that's A smart move.
ReplyDelete9:42 - yes, poor leadership from our elected officials!
ReplyDeleteWait a minute. I thought you said I could come to Carbine Joe’s a watch NASCAR or your 80” outdoor TV. What I’m I suppose to do now?
ReplyDeleteStay in your basement like a good little commie sheep.
DeleteWith Adolph Hogan opening up the rentals, you are not telling me the bars and restaurants will not be open. That is a lot of BS. Open up and sue Adolph Hogan. Hitler is allowing his "elite" group do what they want.
ReplyDeleteI don’t believe any of these draconian orders will hold up in court. Open up. We never closed, but are given a pass because we sell gasoline. Fast Food is ROLLING because the fast casual are closed.
ReplyDeleteGovernment is out of control.
