Parsonsburg, Pittsville, and Salisbury were called to a house fire on Fred Adkins Road in Parsonsburg. There was a big fire in the house.
Salisbury and Pittsville got there first and Parsonsburg had be paged twice. They had to call Salisbury for more units.
The west Salisbury fire co is closer to Fred Adkins than Parsonsburg.

ReplyDeleteSometimes that happens. Its volunteer not paid. Which means people have regular jobs and other life things that keep them from sitting at home waiting for the pager to go off.
ReplyDeleteSo what's your point? Parsonsburg firemen and women are all volunteers. Maybe lots of them were unavailable at the time of the fire. Now turn off the scanner and mind your own business.
ReplyDeleteTrump did it! Trump and all his supporters should be held responsible....see? that pretty much fixes everything! Ahhh, my work is done here.
ReplyDeleteVery easy solution quit typing on the blog and ride down to the Parsonsburg fire Department and fill out your application to volunteer
ReplyDeleteWhat a silly complaint. Parsonsburg is a tiny town with a tiny volunteer fire department. They aren't going to be able to immediately respond with several units at any given time of day or night.
ReplyDeleteThis is obviously a post from a paid firemen from the Salisbury Fire Department. They continue to bash volunteer fire departments throughout Wicomico County, especially Parsonsburg, Delmar, Fruitland and Hebron. They are greedy and selfish and they want to run all the calls in the surrounding area.
ReplyDeleteBob Culver needs to get some balls and fund a paid county fire department instead of giving the Salisbury Fire Department money to run calls in the County.

So what! We live in the county and we want our county volunteers, not you dumb Yahoo's that get paid to sleep every night in Salisbury.

Agreed, but it is more than likely a paid fireman with a pager for radio not a scanner.
Just listen to the scanner any night, this is becoming typical. Throwing money at the departments with no accountability. Its time for the County to step up amd ensure an adequate service is provided.
ReplyDeleteI call BULLSHIT. I just drove the entire length of Fred Adkins Road. It's only about 2 miles long and ends at a dead end near the Hazel property. There has been NO structure fire of any kind along Fred Adkins Road...I live right around the corner and would have heard any sounds associated with a huge (or small) fire.
ReplyDeleteSo what??? It’s why mutual aide exists!!! Let’s thank Salisbury and Pittsville FD’s!!!!
ReplyDeleteJoe,I have noticed when you post fire department events the "Fire B#%&*es" come out of the woodwork to cut the throats of their so-called brotherhood.
ReplyDeleteThey better be careful slamming Parsonsburg V.F.D!
They will release there guard dog Arvey to chew up and spat them out!
