WASHINGTON, DC: On April 23, 2020, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 266, the Payroll Protection Program Increase and Health Care Enhancement Act. Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) issued the following statement on the bill’s passage:
“Today, the House of Representatives passed the Payroll Protection Program Increase and Health Care Enhancement Act. This bill will add billions in much needed funding to the Paycheck Protection Program, which has successfully allowed small businesses in the First District and across the nation to stay open and keep employees on their payrolls during the Coronavirus pandemic. These funds will help local employers cover expenses and pay salaries until businesses are allowed to re-open., which I hope can be done soon on a regional basis. As a physician, I am also pleased that the bill provides additional funding for healthcare providers and expands testing capacity even further."
Please don’t give governments like the municipality of S at Li’s bury (I’m confident there are others) to blow on non-essential nonsense. The Salisbury mayor has never seen a dollar of someone else’s money he’s not willing to blow. The city has a bloated budget, already high taxes. If there’s money use it to support small businesses that were prosperous or strong start ups prior to CV-19. Pumping that money into the local economy will get lots of ROI.
ReplyDeleteAnother Democrat taking someone's credit.
ReplyDeleteCan the bull Andy. Had you and your corrupt buddies in congress on both sides of the aisle done your job, we likely wouldn't need more money in the program. No one can be that incompetent that they allowed big businesses to rob this program blind. So if you didn't allow it by mistake, you did it on purpose
ReplyDeleteHarris. Please stop the lockdown then we won’t need the government printed cash
