When Will Our Idiot Governor Shut Down The State Of Maryland For God's Sake?

A viewer just passed the Zion Methodist Church and the entire parking lot is full. They went on to say, "Crazy how Pastors are out for that collection plate  and putting people at risk".

I don't know why people aren't taking this virus seriously enough. Local positive cases are popping up left and right and packing a Church up like this is not only irresponsible, it's just plain stupid.

  1. I just wish he would do it before Monday morning when everyone has to go to work to avoid mass people on the roads and acting foolish I have a son with severe anxiety and all this is taking a toll on him wondering what will happen if I go to work and the shutdown happens since I work in grocery he is afraid I won't be able to make it home with him I think the decision should be made before Monday morning all of this is also affecting the depressed and people with anxieties they need to be considered too go ahead and make this decision already

    3. 11:59 & 1:11 - Anxiety & Depression is a serious illness which is worsened by frightening events such as what we're going through right now. You obviously don't know what you're talking about and it's cruel to blame the parent. So much for your compassion and understanding.

It’s still a free country for a few more hours, maybe days. So until then stay home and don’t worry about what anyone else is doing.

    5. 10:25 - If scores of people in your Church end up getting this coronavirus because of their refusal to take (commonsense) responsibility you're going to have made your Faith comments looked down on. I am a Christian but would not even consider attending a service with other people right now, and God still loves me. God blessed me with commonsense. I wish you well.

  14. One of the biggest problems is everyone blaming someone else. Is it the Pastor's fault for people showing at church? Is it morally right for the Pastor to deny people that want to come to church in these difficult times?
Common sense would be to stay home and worship our Creator in our own way.

  16. If you watch the news -- church services are being conducted with people in their cars. It's happening here in Florida -similar to a drive in movie. The church used a radio station that his congregation turns into while sitting in their cars. Better yet why don't they stay home and listen to the radio. Except if they did that the church could not pass the collection plate. Crazy times.

The people make their own choices.. they went because they want to. Perhaps the 'viewer' just wanted to take a shot at Christians, and particularly the pastor. I doubt they are sitting right next to each other. And I'm sure the 'collection plate' has little to do with it.

Lady's and Gentlemen . . . don't sweat the small stuff, I can almost guarantee you that with the ensuing hot weather coming very soon, (already started this past Friday, March 20, 2020) you can all but kiss this virus good-by. I have lived on the planet earth for 63 years and I have yet to experience a virus when April hot weather arrives. The heat, long days, and particularly the ultra violet light - won't allow this virus to spread at epidemic levels.

If the virus does expand and extends past April 1st - then we have bigger problems - as it must be form of bacteriological warfare. That's about all that I can say about this virus contagion.

Now - there is no US manufacturing left, and, in comparison to the number of manufactures we use to have in the 60's, 70's and 80's. They are now all gone!!! 40. “I don’t know why people aren’t taking this virus seriously enough “....

I’ll take a stab at that:

    A) The Press/4th Estate/MSM has beclowned itself to the point that serious, thoughtful people have difficulty taking them seriously even at a time like this, when their biases and agendas have been laid wide open for all to see. This has been a persistent problem but has Accelerated in particular in the last 4 years with “Orange Man Bad” in the Oval Office. What would have been inconceivable to most of us just a short time ago, that the enemies of PDJT would create/condone/assist/cheerlead an event like this for the sole purpose of his demise, suddenly doesn’t require quite as much “tin foil”.

    B) Our trusted, respected, auguste institutions, led by the “smartest people in the room”, have equally beclowned themselves in the eyes of the American people thru blatant partisanship, hypocrisy, and willful ineptitude. Do you really trust James Comey and the FBI? Would no “reasonable prosecutor” really not pursue charges against Hillary Clinton for her email server scandal? Do you really trust Brennan, Clapper, et al in the intelligence community? FISA, anyone? How about Lois Lerner and the IRS? Has she suffered the consequences of her actions? So do I believe Fauci et al when they tell me I don’t need a mask, but will make sure they themselves have them?

Can anyone you respect in the press articulate in a trustworthy, unbiased, medical manner:

    1. How is the Wuhan Flu different than various other seasonal Flus that kill thousands of Americans every year?

    2. How is the Wuhan Flu different than previous apocalypses such as Swine Flu, Ebola, SARS, MERS etc? I don't recall turning our lives upside down, threatening our constitutional freedoms, laying off millions, shuttering small business (much of which will be permanent given our current trajectory), sending the world economy into recession/depression, and arguing over the region specific (Wuhan or China) nomenclature. (Didn't happen with MERS (Middle Eastern Respiratory) “West Nile” virus, “Spanish” Flu”, etc.)

Cynical people such as I have become have our suspicions that the reasons (at least for the hysteria if not the origins) lie with who the occupant of the Oval Office is, or more specifically, his enemies. Oh, did I mention..... Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself?

Look there must be good answers and reasons, and perhaps I’m even being willfully ignorant, but frankly I think this is the time to remain vigilant in defense of our constitutional rights. People on this blog are actually calling for taking pictures of those who choose to worship on a Sunday and sending them to Gov Hogan..... for what?

  42. The kind of hot weather we need is months away ( 90's). And that's not a positive. This is a new virus and it can adjust in it's early stages before weakening to things like heat. Ask Australians about that as they fight this virus.
There are 244 cases in Maryland, Not 2 as above. And that will be near or over 300 by Monday morning.
Hogan does need to do a Stay at home order. Except for essentials.
I don't see where Trump has in any way helped this situation out. This is a war, he should've made places like GM produce and ship to states needed medical equipment. Not hope they volunteer.
And I'm sick of his "I hope this will work) scenarios. Tell us the truth.

Look up Part-15 radio. You can get a low power AM or FM transmitter that broadcasts only about a mile. Real estate agents use "talking house" radios all the time- the broadcast on the FM band only a few hundred feet.

In other words, do some research before you run your trap, boomer.

  64. I commented before under another post but I'm going to comment here as wel . I've been in the medical profession for 25 years.

I went to lowes yesterday for an emergency repair to a broken pipe in my house. I out my mask on and gloves. To my horror there were over 200 people in the store, only several wearing a mask. Some were shaking hands and hugging when they met each other. There was even a couple from thenWicomico County Sheriffs Office walking around with no protection , laughing and carrying on. These cops come into contact with many people and they do not have the professionalism and common decency to wear protective equipment when out and about. This speaks volumes of the lack of professionalism and precautions that our law enforcement is taking and sets a horrible example.

The Spanish flu killed over 50 million people.

Laugh now and pay later. Stay inside. Only leave when absolutely required. By not taking proper precautions you will risk other peoples lives, your own, and your children's life. Dont be totally stupid. You not complying with basic precautions will literally kill people.

A lot online people will get very sick and a lot of people will die from this.
