Delmar- The Delaware State Police have arrested 42-year-old Ronald A. Brown of Delmar, DE on aggravated menacing and related charges.

On December 17, 2019, the Delaware State Police were made aware of an incident involving Ronald Brown. Further investigation revealed that the incident occurred on October 23, 2019 at Brown’s residence located in the 14000 block of Whitesville Road, Delmar, DE. On March 10, 2020 Brown turned himself in at Troop 4. He was arraigned before the Sussex County Superior Court and released on $20,000 unsecured bond. A no contact order was also issued with the victim in this case.

  5. Story seems to be missing a lot of detail. How did the acquaintance enter the house? Define argument.
I can see someone entering without permission and getting assy resulting in some gunface.

    1. ""Missing a lot of details""?, if the guy entered the house without permission Brown would charge him with trespass. The argument was all over money owed or money needed for rendering service to vehicle repair. Plain and simple

  10. This happened on October 23, 2019 and he waited until December 17, 2019 to report it??? That was almost 2 months to the day before he reported it to the Salisbury Police Department when it happened in Delaware?? What took him so long to report it?? I would like to talk to the victim to find out if any of this is fabricated just like the 3 police officers and Barbara Duncan fabricated evidence in the evidence room and cases involving her department!

Then it took the Delaware State Police 2 1/2 months to investigate this alleged "Aggravated Menacing and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a Felony?"

This happened nearly 5 months ago and we are just now finding out about it??? WTH is wrong with that picture!!

Then it took the Salisbury Police department another 8 days to issue an Official Press Release. Something doesn't pass the smell test here.

This is another screw-up/cover-up by the Salisbury Police Department, Chief Barbara Duncan and the Mare of Ghetto'Bury, Jake Day.

In a real city with a real police Department, Barbara Duncan would have been placed on leave months ago.

In a real city, the mayor would have stepped down from his position.

Now is time for the citizens of Salisbury and Wicomico County to demand that Jack Heath, Muir Boda and the entire City Council do the right thing and fire Barbara Duncan. It is time that the entire City Council demands that Jake Day resign as Mayor of our once great city before he causes any more damage!

  11. Sounds to be like a fight broke out and he was the one with a gun. You can get a warrant on hearsay in Delaware. Does not mean you will get a conviction. Wow 1 of the 5 black officers in the county charged. What is this world coming to.Seriously why are there not more black cops in this county. The answer is Mike Lewis stopped them all. Now that is funny I do not care who you are.

    1. It was an indictment with a warrant, look up what an indictment is, "hearsay" and Mike Lewis is a good Sherriff

  12. Look at all the criminals that the city has hired for the Salisbury Fire Department. One of them has been promoted to acting Lieutenant, to lieutenant and now to captain.

David Cox was arrested for impersonating a police officer in the State of Delaware and the State of Maryland and after being on suspension for over a year Rick Hoppes hired the criminal back and then promoted him. Now John Tull has promoted him to Captain. Just because the charges were somehow dropped after a year doesn't mean it didn't happen. Do you want this fire captain coming in your house at night??

  17. What happened to Due ProcessMarch 10, 2020 at 8:35 PM

This incident was based on a personal complaint.

These type of complaints happen, and every one is entitled to due process.

In Court, all info is brought out....to.include information some here may not be aware of.

Unfortunately, for this SPD officer his income is now lost pending trial and acquittal.

I've known of other cases where a Sherrif in Talbot County was accused of a sex offense , rape and other with a girl he was seeing.

After a few years, and court drama, him being on suspension without pay...the allegations were found to be false.

let's see how this SPD officers trial comes out.
In the meantime Bill Collection s still want their money

  23. Its really sad that we have become a world where everyone is guilty until proven innocent. Its easy for everyone to have a comment and opinion when they have no facts on the real story. Its shameful the media is so quick to post a mugshot of someone who has yet to have been proven guilty yet so many Real Criminals pictures go unpublished. The "Victim" in questions is a professional thief and liar and its disgusting the the so called Chief Duncan is quick to sell this officer out and not the ones within her dept that committed real crimes. This whole town is so screwed up and fake as hell. Start selling out the real garbage in this town instead of trying to ruin the name and reputation of the good ones.

  24. The EVIDENCE speaks for itself. Chief Ducan and the command staff at SPD uphold the law ON and OFF duty, they did what was right and just.

    2. 940, so your saying that there is no way that any command staff knew about a letter that was provided to SPD in 2011 in regards to 3 of their officers have issues of truthfulness. Either SPD command is lieing or the States attorneys office or both. Jamie surely knows more and is trying to hold people accountable for very similar situations that she is likely involved in. Go team Dykes/McDermott, make wicomico great again, by leaving.

  26. Just a few bad apples you know. As dam near the entire police force is being investigated lol. Bunch of crooks, high strung adrenaline junkies with morals that barely match the reich - If your not one of them, then you will burn.

  27. I love how a man (or woman) who cheats on their spouse can still be considered ‘good people’ of strong character. Yes, let the process unfold as it will but please don’t describe the guy as a good man. Cheat on your spouse, lack of morals. Shouldn’t be a cop (or a states attorney or any other position where it is your duty to set an example.)

  29. This is the kind of officer you get when they get their job through Affirmative Action instead of actually qualifying for it. "Waaaa, I can't pass the test." 'Don't you worry honey, we will see to it you get that job."
