As you probably know, the University closed down at 6:30PM last night. Persons using the Fitness Center were told to leave and were not allowed to take showers. This was after having been told earlier in the evening the the Fitness Center was going to remain open. They are now indicating it will be closed indefinitely.
I have never witnessed such paranoia that I can remember, and thought you may want to let your readers know.
Corona virus is mainly spread by TDS...
ReplyDeleteCall it what you will...paranoia, or common sense precautions. Get over it. You'll live without your gym workouts for a little while. Man, what a bunch of crybabies!
ReplyDeleteIt's prevention not paranoia. People are dying from this, sorry you have to work out at home.
ReplyDeleteObama/Biden swine flu. 62 million Americans sick and 13k deaths. Almost no questions from reporters, no stimulus and no borders closed. World wide it killed a million. Reports were gushing over Obama. YouTube
DeleteThe closings are too well coordinated for this to be random. I believe the decisions are made at national level
ReplyDeleteIt ain't over yet.
ReplyDeleteGyms are a hotbed for spreading germs. Perhaps you shouldn't just write it off as paranoia and see it as the public safety concern it is.
ReplyDeleteWorkout at home, then shower. Better for you anyway. Alot of nasty germs in every gym around.
ReplyDelete10:52 is right. Small space, everybody breathing hard, sweating all over the machine, wipe it with a dry towel and move on to the next machine.
ReplyDelete@ 10:33 & 10:52
ReplyDeleteYou two geniuses are correct. We can live without our gym workouts, problem is for some of us it is necessary for rehabilitating an injury.
yupp, gym's have been a hot bed for spreading germs. Think about that statement you made. Why now should they be a public safety concern for a virus that has the lowest death rate ever. As of this morning reports over 1600 confirmed infected in the U.S.A and 41 deaths. That's 2.5%
You keep believing the media that is trying to create a panic instead of doing your own research.....morons!!
It’s not the “lowest death rate ever,” you moron. Swine flu’s death rate in 2009 was less than 0.1%. Good try though.
DeleteAlot more than 1600. Wait till they start testing 5000 people a day.
ReplyDeleteWhich would've been done weeks ago, if the administration had not failed in preparing for this.
aww... little baby needs a nappy
DeleteLet's not confuse common sense precautions with draconian over-reactions. Is the Coronavirus they contract at the gym somehow more potent than the one they catch from the Walmart shopping cart? The viruses SU should worry about are the ones contracted through a combination of too much alcohol and not enough latex...
ReplyDelete11:51, the problem is your stats are from media too. The only way you could possibly do the research is with the actual stats which are impossible to get because the data itself is based on too many holes. It’s undeniable in places like italy this is killing hundreds. The level of contagion and death rate are certainly worthy of being questioned, but there’s no question taking a few weeks, throwing in some precautions can help end this quicker and hopefully save the lives of many older people. It’s not about you dying per say, it’s about others.
ReplyDeleteEverything doesn’t have to be politics and making money. Just pause, fix, and get back to mundane nonsense you enjoy as soon as you can.

ReplyDeleteLike anyone is going to listen to someone with no freaking credentials. And yet you call educated people morons. Go ahead, get the virus, and maybe die from it. The low death rate only counts if you're not the one that dies. If you're one of the ones that dies, then you're the moron. Workout in your nasty bedroom, and leave the gyms alone. You are the irresponsible kind that spreads the virus. I've done my research, and morons like you are the problem with this pandemic.
1600 infected is approximately 0.0000049% of the US population and 49 deaths is 1.507 to the 7th power % have died. And this is reason for mass hysteria!
ReplyDelete12;41. The problem with your math is only an infinitesimal % of the US population has been tested. No one actually knows how many people are infected. But all agree that it’s a whole lot more than 1600.
ReplyDeleteOnly going by the most recent data at the time it was printed. Even if the numbers were double the percentages would only double.
DeleteThis whole thing is total paranoia. People can lie about it, spin it but the fact remains this is hardly the worst of it's kind and don't say it is .
ReplyDeleteThis is NOT debatable so don't even try You will only prove you are clueless. Granted it is under reported due to the fact that MOST people at least 80 percent get well on their own without treatment. The ONLY reason sports events and places are closing is fear of a law suit. Many people due to other health issued die from the flu/virus every year and none of this paranoia has happened before
Stop the craziness - go have a beer at Joe's Caribbean Restaurant. 🌴🌴🌴
ReplyDelete1224 swine flu rate was taken from the 61 million infected people and 14k died. Btw if Obama closed the Mexico border then we would have had less deaths. Fact.
ReplyDelete03/13/2020 @ 10.52 am
ReplyDeleteThe real hotbed is the SU dorms which are overused and under-cleaned by multiple DNA samples. Corona is just a drink before the action begins.
Yea Baby--let the good times roll! This may be the new HIV that will try to cleanse the earth.
The problem is that the idiots don't look at comparative data over the decades/centuries prior. History has no function in today's education.
Paranoia, paranoia, paranoia???!!! There is NO paranoia! People fighting over, robbing, and attacking one another for toilet paper should be accepted das normal behavior. Storming grocery stores to load up large volumes of water and tissue is normal? This may not reflect paranoia, but as for myself, I have no other explanation.
ReplyDeletePLEASE CALM DOWN PEOPLE!
