On Tuesday the 17th, we used the "pickup" service at the Walmart in Berlin MD. The employee that brought the groceries out to our car was constantly coughing. I almost sent the entire order back. Tomorrow will be that magic "14th day" since then. We've been very nervous about it, but it looks like we may have gotten through it. I'm 69 and my wife is 68.
1:17 - I understand your concern. I purchased some items at Dollar Tree, the cashier coughed into her hand, then picked up my items with that hand. I'm 70 and taking all precautions but everyone HAS to do the same. This is dang serious!
Northwest Woodsman: 1:17, we are close in age and are in the highest risk category of catching this virus and I applaud your actions and think it was very wise. Don’t take any chances and please continue to be careful.
All a waste of time. The American empire is not setup nor capable of shutting down indefinitely. People are going to die, it's that simple. You might as well prepare for that reality.
Calling a rumor a "fact" does not make it true. Fearmongering is what it is. No different than any other store or business that is open on the shore. It is among us. If that scares you, then by all means, stay home and starve to death. My workplace has people that have been in contact with confirmed covid patients, and a couple are awaiting their test results. It's happening all around us (as they said it would) If you are still going to Walmart regularly, you are part of the problem. Quit being a fearmonger, just to increase your sense of worthiness. Your post is not necessary. People have to follow the guidelines and emergency measures if they are to reduce their risks. Don't expect walmart to do it for you (although they are taking very aggressive steps to reduce the risks to their employees, and the customers)
Hey NW, your age group is NOT the group that is at the highest risk of GETTING the virus. Your demographic is at the highest risk of dying from it. Big difference. Older people have a higher incentive to avoid the virus, but the risk of exposure and catching it is the same for all of us, if precautions are not taken.
If that is the viewer's concern, then stay out of ALL grocery stores and walmarts. The employees are not immune (no one is)and they are working at great risks from shoppers like you. There are cases and suspected cases in all open businesses. Too bad you freaked out when you realize it is in a store that you shop in. Fearmongering doesn't change anything or make anything better. You are a fearmonger and NOT a social warrior. People should continue to shop, when they absolutely have to, and take all the proper precautions to protect themselves. Telling people to stay out of a particular walmart over a rumor (true or false) doesn't help anybody.
11:10 Where are you from seriously if you do not like the "Empire" go else where. This country is made up of survivors. The fact is our welfare receipt ants live better than the middle class in much of the world. The latest actions by Donald Trump revealed just how much he cares about all Americans. I can assure you no other country is giving out stimulus monies. So your are right in one regard we are a nation of doers and have to work for what we want. It is free to anyone who wants to work for it. So yes the Empire is not designed to shut down. I ask that you please visit Walmart in Pocomoke and then rub your face.
If trump cared so much about us, he would have taken precautions as soon as the medical field became aware of the coronavirus. Instead, he called it a Democratic hoax and said he didn't believe it was serious. People became infected and died before he did anything! Why did he disband the pandemic committee anyway? Look what happened when he did! Makes me wonder if he had something to do with it!!!
3:54p-like immediately shutting down flights to and from China, for which he was labeled a racist, while your hero’s like de Blasio pelosi told you to go to Chinatown?

DeleteAnd yet, NO WARNINGS from Worcester County!
ReplyDeleteYeah, but the important question is, "Is Tia still in jail?"
ReplyDeleteWas at the local Walmart and saw an employee out by the side where they smoke, throwing up then later I saw her checking people out!
ReplyDeleteThere are carriers that display no cough sneezing or fever people. Don't let down your guard with anyone who has left their house.
ReplyDeleteYou know, there are those of us with allergies this time of year...
ReplyDeleteAww
DeleteThe rest of us feel bad for you dealing with allergies.
However, we want to concern ourselves with those who are being MURDERED by a biological weapon.
Is that OK with you and your allergies?
