Troopers Investigating Serious Pedestrian Hit and Run Crash- Seaford

Seaford- The Delaware State Police are investigating a serious hit and run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred last evening.

The incident occurred on February 10, 2020 at approximately 9:54 p.m., when a pedestrian was walking along the edge of the roadway on Middleford Road, west of Old Furnace Road, Seaford. For unknown reason the pedestrian entered into the travel lane where he was struck by a passing vehicle. The striking vehicle then exited the roadway and struck a guide wire and a wooden fence, causing property damage.

The pedestrian, a 47-year-old male from Seaford, was transported to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

The striking vehicle was described as a light blue in color Ford Ranger pickup truck. The operator fled the scene and was last seen traveling westbound on Middleford Road. The vehicle should have front end damage.

Troopers have been unable to locate the vehicle involved are asking anyone that has information in reference to this crash to please call the Delaware State Police Troop 5, Trooper Hunter Raymond at 302-337-1090.   1. If these pedestrians would get the hell across the street. Instead of thinking because they have they have right of way that 7000 pound vehicle is stopping.

  2. Exactly 12:30, it's much easier to stop a 200 lbs body moving 2 mph than a 3000 plus car moving 30 mph. Whoever declared that pedestrians have the right of way on public roads has killed a lot of sheeple.
