On behalf of Governor Larry Hogan, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fishing and Boating Services is seeking qualified applicants to nominate for the Maryland Obligatory seat on the Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Management Council.
The Maryland Obligatory seat currently held by Earl Gwin, who is completing his first term, will become vacant August 2020.
The Governor’s Office will nominate three applicants for selection by the Secretary of Commerce, United States Department of Commerce, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Applicants should have fisheries experience (recreational, commercial, or other relevant expertise), be committed to attending Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Management Council meetings along the Atlantic coast and associated duties and be able to pass a background check.
