For decades, we’ve been told that a calorie is a calorie and as long as we eat fewer of them than we burn, we’re sure to lose weight.
Increasingly, though, it seems that when it comes to staying healthy, it’s not only what you eat that matters, but when you eat.
This may be all down to our circadian rhythms. These 24-hour cycles govern everything from when we feel sleepy to when our immune cells are most active, enabling our bodies to prepare for regular events — including the arrival of food.

Oh now it's 6 it use to be 7. No one gets out alive live it up now ! Who want's to be a sick old person on the dole ? Better to drop dead working.
ReplyDeleteMost people I no eat at 6 or later and can’t figure out why they are over weight.
ReplyDeleteI need to get a handle on that.
ReplyDeleteMore studies. Blah blah blah.
ReplyDeleteSome of us don't get off work until late. The alternative is a fast not healthy dinner. With work & kids we don't have the time to prepare a good meal. I try to use the crock-pot as much as possible but the truth is its become our life-style and its hard to overcome. My granny used to make dinner and we would eat at 4 - 5 pm, those were some good home-cooked meals !
ReplyDeleteUnrealistic!
ReplyDeleteMost of us work until 5pm!
WTF are we supposed to do?
We need to have a study on stupid studies!
Get off work at 5, and get home at 6. When the hell am I supposed to eat?
